How to wash ink from clothes

How to wash ink from clothes

If the ink from a stamp gets on clothes accidentally, it is very difficult to remove. If you accidentally get a large amount of ink on clothes when adding ink to a stamp, even if you rub it hard for a long time and the clothes become pilled, it is still difficult to remove. Anyone who encounters this kind of thing will be very upset. If you damage your favorite clothes, you will gradually discover and summarize several useful methods through continuous accumulation of experience. I hope this can be helpful to everyone and can help you solve a lot of troubles.

Printing ink is usually composed of solvents, colorants, surfactants, pH regulators, drying agents and other necessary additives. It is a high-molecular chemical mixture, and it is difficult to wash off clothes once it gets on them.

Method 1

Wipe with gasoline, then wash with detergent.

Method 2

Soak the contaminated clothes in carbon tetrachloride, rub them, and then rinse them with clean water. If it cannot be cleaned with clean water, wipe it with 10% ammonia solution or 10% baking soda solution, and then wash it with water.

Method 3

Soak the ink-stained clothes in a mixture of equal parts of ether and turpentine, and wash them off with gasoline after they become soft.

If it is contaminated by ink, wash it with detergent first. Red pigments can be removed by washing in warm alcohol solution with caustic potash. However, for viscose fabrics, only alcohol can be used and caustic potash is prohibited. When wool or cloth is stained with printing oil, it should be rinsed with hot water or boiling water first, then rubbed with soapy water, and finally rinsed with clean water to clean it. Never wash in cold water as this will set the color into the fibers and make it difficult to wash out.

Use a mixture of soap and gasoline to soak or apply it on the color stain, rub it gently to make it dissolve and fall off, then wash it with soapy water and rinse it with clean water. For old stains, soak them in hot soapy water for 10 minutes, rubbing repeatedly. After fully moistening with turpentine, scrub with soap and alcohol solution, and finally wipe with gasoline. When printing oil gets on woolen clothes, you should first rinse them with hot or boiling water, then rinse them with soapy water, and then rinse them with clean water.

In fact, no matter what kind of dirt is on clothes, it will greatly affect people's mood. These methods are based on studying the composition of printing ink and are relatively feasible and effective methods. Therefore, it is recommended that you collect these methods, especially people in professions such as finance, as such methods are more likely to be used.
