How to choose an anti-UV umbrella

How to choose an anti-UV umbrella

Many friends are afraid of getting tanned in the hot summer, so they will put on a layer of sunscreen and carry a parasol when going out. In fact, the selection of parasols also requires certain requirements. If the umbrella you buy does not have the function of UV protection, it is of no use. Therefore, we must be able to choose when buying umbrellas. In fact, there are certain methods for this. So how to choose an anti-UV umbrella?

The parasols we see on the market basically cannot provide real sun protection. You will feel that there is a heat surrounding you under the umbrella, like water vapor. Many unscrupulous merchants will take ordinary umbrellas and pretend they are parasols, but the price and profit have doubled. So how can you choose a truly sun-proof parasol? The reason is actually very simple. For the same fabric, darker colors have better sun protection effects than lighter colors.

Beautiful but not practical. Nowadays, there are many umbrellas with lace edges and bright colors, but no silver coating. Such umbrellas have high light transmittance, but poor sun protection effect and weak anti-ultraviolet effect. Although they are beautiful, they are not practical.

When buying a parasol, you must buy one with a dark color. Scientific research shows that the UV transmittance of black fabric is 5%; the UV transmittance of navy blue, red, dark green, and purple fabric is 5%-10%; the UV transmittance of green, light red, light green, and white fabric is 15%. Another simple method is: buy an umbrella, open it in the sun, and see how transparent the sunlight is under the umbrella. If you can't open your eyes under the umbrella, then you might as well not buy it.

The above is an introduction on how to choose an anti-UV umbrella. In fact, everyone should have an anti-UV umbrella, because tanning has a certain impact on our image, and there is a saying that "a white face can cover up a hundred uglinesses", so you must protect your skin in normal times, avoid tanning and sunburn, and try to reduce your stay in the sun.
