Are muscles made of protein?

Many people want to have strong muscles. Not only does it look very handsome, but fitness also has many benefits for people's health. Perhaps everyone has seen that people who exercise always pay attention to protein intake. Only by ensuring sufficient protein intake can the goal of muscle gain be achieved. Many people have a question: Are muscles made of protein? Let me introduce it below.

Healthy muscles are made up of approximately 73% water and 27% protein. The amount of muscle mass in the human body is more important than the amount of fat mass. Protein is broken down into energy when the body lacks the necessary calories. Muscles are made up of muscle fibers, and each muscle fiber is made up of smaller myofibrils. Each myofibril is composed of two filamentous proteins (myosin and actin) entangled together.

Muscle growth requires protein, and muscle growth cannot be separated from protein! But this does not mean that muscle growth is as simple as eating protein. There is still a lot of knowledge involved. Muscle growth is human body science, so we should not jump to conclusions without understanding.

Muscles will become inflamed after being stimulated by fitness training, and this inflammation requires the replenishment of material energy for repair. Protein is the key link, and of course carbohydrates are also needed. So don’t think that you can just not eat rice, which is also unreasonable. These substances and energies will allow your muscles to repair quickly, and you will not feel so sore after they recover. These substances enter your cells to repair and help cell growth, and then make your muscles fuller, thereby increasing their circumference. That is why people who exercise scientifically have muscles that are plump and have a strong three-dimensional feel.

If you don't supplement protein, your muscles will become shriveled and have no three-dimensional sense. Many people question this. I don't eat protein powder, so why aren't my muscles shriveled? That's because many foods contain protein, not just protein powder. Meat, for example, contains protein, as do various soy products. So don't say you didn't supplement protein!
