How to use Sanfutie

The treatment of Sanfutie is not that simple. It cannot be completed in just a process or a few days. It is more suitable for people with bronchial asthma, bronchitis and respiratory tract infections. Some people also have sinusitis. So when using Sanfutie, you must first understand what groups are suitable for Sanfutie. When using it, it is divided into stages and courses of treatment. The methods and principles used in each stage are different.

Application method

The course of Sanfu plaster therapy is 3 to 5 years. Each year is divided into three stages, namely the first, middle and last dog days. Generally, the plaster is applied 3 times each summer, with 4 acupoints applied each time, i.e. 4 pieces. Children should apply the patch for 2 to 4 hours each time, and adults should apply the patch for 6 hours each time. However, based on individual differences and the patient's condition, the doctor will make appropriate adjustments to the application time and frequency.

Indications

This treatment method is suitable for three groups of people: one is people with bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, and recurrent upper respiratory tract infections; the second is people with chronic rhinitis and sinusitis; the third is people with chronic cough and recurrent colds. Patients with severe cardiopulmonary diseases, those who are allergic to drugs, those with blisters, boils, or damaged skin, and those in the acute stage of an illness (such as fever, cough, etc.) should not undergo patch treatment. In addition, this treatment is not suitable for children under 2 years old because their skin is delicate and the application of the patch can easily cause infection.

Precautions

Children should apply the tape for 2 to 4 hours each time. Local itching, heat, and slight pain are all normal reactions. A small number of patients have sensitive skin and blisters will appear on the local skin that comes into contact with the tape. You can apply anti-inflammatory ointment externally to prevent infection. If the blisters are large, go to the hospital for treatment. Obvious pigmentation on the skin after application is a normal reaction. Some patients' skin does not react after application, which does not affect the efficacy and the application time can be appropriately extended.

Patients with allergic skin or scarred skin should remove the ointment immediately if they feel burning pain after applying the ointment. Try to keep the area where the medicine is applied dry. You can use air conditioning, but the temperature must be moderate and do not blow the cold air from the air conditioner. Avoid eating raw, cold, greasy and spicy food during the application period. Don't eat high-protein seafood such as shrimp and crabs. Do not swim on the day of applying the medicine and do not take a cold shower within 4 to 6 hours.

In addition, Chinese medicine recommends that patients who are receiving treatment for winter diseases in summer should be moderate in their diet and lifestyle and avoid being too greedy for coolness in order to achieve the best treatment effect. Stay away from air conditioning, because after entering the air-conditioned room, the pores of the skin will shrink, affecting the penetration of the medicine; you should also eat less cold drinks, as cold drinks not only damage the spleen and stomach, but also cause the cold air deposited in the body to stagnate, affecting the efficacy.

It is especially worth reminding everyone that Sanfu Plaster is not a specific medicine for treating chronic diseases and cannot completely replace other treatments. Patients with chronic diseases who are currently taking medication should not blindly reduce or stop taking medication.
