What's the matter with chest tightness and shortness of breath

With the development of society, people are always busy with work. Working overtime and staying up all night is a common thing to do, and because of this, the health of many friends is affected. People often say that they sometimes feel chest tightness and shortness of breath, but they don’t know what’s going on. Because the symptom only lasts for a while, not many people care about it. However, it is still harmful to the body, so let’s understand what chest tightness and shortness of breath are causing.

1. Manifestations of exertional myocardial ischemia.

Get more rest! Pay attention to physical exercise. If you just feel chest tightness, there is generally no need to take medicine. If you experience symptoms such as palpitations, you should go to the hospital.

2. Chest tightness and shortness of breath are common symptoms among unmarried women and married young women. Looking at the reasons why young women feel chest tightness and shortness of breath, there are roughly three:

1. Physiological factors: Women’s reproductive systems, including the ovaries, begin to develop and mature from puberty, secreting large amounts of estrogen, which triggers monthly menstruation and the formation of obvious female characteristics. Chest tightness and shortness of breath are closely related to the level of sex hormone secretion. The estrogen secretion in young women is more vigorous, the subcutaneous fat thickens, and the oxygen consumption of adipose tissue is greater than that of muscle tissue, so young women will suffer from insufficient oxygen supply to the human body and experience chest tightness and shortness of breath.

2. Psychological factors are mainly caused by unpleasant emotions such as depression and bad mood. Girls tend to be sensitive in emotions. When they encounter unpleasant things, they tend to sulk and feel unhappy, which often makes them feel chest tightness and shortness of breath. According to psychologists, chest tightness and shortness of breath caused by this reason is the most common. It seems that you have to be open-minded about everything; don't be too picky.

3. Pathological factors: Common diseases among women include myocarditis and autonomic dysfunction. Among various types of myocarditis, viral myocarditis is the most common. Women are prone to viral myocarditis after suffering from colds and upper respiratory tract infections. One of the main symptoms of this disease is chest tightness and shortness of breath.

4. Autonomic dysfunction often occurs in female adolescence. Some girls aged 16 or 17 often complain of chest tightness and shortness of breath, which is mostly caused by autonomic dysfunction.

5. For women who experience chest tightness and shortness of breath, generally speaking, they do not need treatment if no organic lesions are found after examination at the hospital. Keep a good mood, be happy and optimistic, strengthen physical exercise, and be calm, and you will naturally be healthy.

3. Chest tightness is a subjective feeling, that is, breathing is difficult or there is not enough air. In severe cases, people may feel as if a stone is pressing down on their chest, and may even have difficulty breathing. It may be a functional manifestation of the body's organs, or it may be one of the earliest symptoms of disease in the human body.

1. Functional chest tightness: Staying in a poorly ventilated room for a long time, or encountering some unpleasant things, or even having an argument or dispute with others, or being in a climate with low air pressure will often cause feelings of chest tightness and fatigue. After a short rest, opening windows for ventilation or going outside to breathe fresh air, relaxing your mind and regulating your emotions, you will soon return to normal. Chest tightness like this may be functional.

2 Pathological chest tightness: Pathological chest tightness is caused by diseases in certain organs in the body. For example: 1. Respiratory tract obstruction: tumors growing in the trachea and bronchi, tracheal stenosis, external pressure on the trachea (enlarged thyroid gland, tumors growing in the mediastinum); 2. Lung diseases: emphysema, asthma, atelectasis, pulmonary infarction, pneumothorax; 3. Heart disease: certain congenital heart diseases, rheumatic heart valve disease, coronary heart disease; 4. Diaphragmatic diseases: diaphragmatic ectasia and diaphragmatic paralysis; 5. Fluid metabolism and acid-base balance disorders, etc.

The causes of chest tightness and shortness of breath have been introduced in detail above. I hope this will be of great help to some of my friends. I would also like to remind everyone that no matter what disease it is, you must understand the cause of the disease. Only in this way can you find a good treatment method based on the cause to help the body recover health, so it is better to understand it.
