If this happens during the second pregnancy, a caesarean section is required

If you meet the conditions for vaginal delivery after cesarean section, you can consider choosing vaginal delivery for your second child. If you had a cesarean section for your first child, you may still need a cesarean section if one of the following situations occurs during your second pregnancy:

1. If the indications for your first cesarean section still exist, such as pelvic stenosis, cephalopelvic disproportion, malposition of the fetus, malformation or stenosis of the soft birth canal, and internal and external surgical complications, such as heart disease.

2. You had serious obstetric complications during your second pregnancy, such as fetal distress, placental abruption, etc., which made vaginal delivery unsuitable.

3. There were problems with the fetus during your second pregnancy, such as intrauterine hypoxia, multiple pregnancy, intrauterine infection, or an overly large fetus.

4. The uterine incision from your last caesarean section did not heal well, such as uneven thickness of the uterine incision, too thin at the incision scar, hard cracks or ruptures in the uterine incision, or the first surgical incision was a longitudinal uterine incision, a ⊥-shaped incision, or the uterine incision had severe lacerations and required repair surgery.

5. If the labor process during your second pregnancy is not going smoothly during vaginal delivery, or if fetal hypoxia occurs, or there is suspected (or already) hard rupture of the uterine incision, an emergency caesarean section is required.

In other words, if none of the five situations listed above occurs, a natural birth is possible.
