In clinical practice, premature beats are generally divided into many types. Although premature atrial beats are uncommon, they are relatively serious. And if atrial premature beats are considered a pathological manifestation, in simple terms, they are a complication of a disease. Therefore, if atrial premature beats occur, these people need immediate rescue, otherwise their lives will be seriously threatened. So what are the causes of atrial premature beats? 1. Any organic heart disease can occur, and it is common in coronary heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, cor pulmonale (especially multifocal premature atrial contractions), myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, hypertensive heart disease, heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, mitral valve prolapse, etc. 2. The use of drugs and electrolytes such as digitalis, quinidine, procainamide, epinephrine, isoproterenol, antimonials and various anesthetics can all cause atrial premature contractions. Atrial premature contractions may also occur when acid-base imbalance and electrolyte disorders occur, such as hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, acid-base poisoning, etc. 3. Abnormal neurological state: The occurrence of atrial premature contractions may have no obvious cause, but is related to factors such as mental tension, emotional excitement, sudden increase in blood pressure, fatigue, excessive drinking, smoking, drinking strong tea, drinking coffee, full meals, constipation, abdominal distension and indigestion, insomnia, sudden changes in body position, etc. Atrial premature beats caused by this reason are more likely to occur before sleep or at rest, and decrease or disappear after exercise or increased heart rate. Atrial premature contractions can also be caused by direct mechanical stimulation of the heart (such as heart surgery or cardiac catheterization). 4. Endocrine diseases: hyperthyroidism, adrenal diseases, etc. 5. Premature atrial contractions in a normal healthy heart can occur in normal people of all age groups, but are less common in children and more common in middle-aged and elderly people. Sympathetic or vagal hyperactivity, which may be caused by autonomic dysfunction, can cause premature contractions. Diseases such as atrial premature beats are usually diagnosed through electrocardiogram. It is also believed that people with atrial premature beats need to pay attention to some issues in their daily lives, such as keeping warm when going out, eating small meals frequently, and focusing on exercise, so as not to increase the cardiac burden of this group of people and induce the disease. |
