Is drinking slimming tea effective for constipation?

With economic development, people's living conditions have improved significantly. If you don't pay much attention to your daily diet and eat too much greasy food, constipation is likely to occur. In order to solve the problem of constipation, many female friends try to drink slimming tea to regulate their body. So, is this method really effective? Let's take a closer look at the relevant matters below.

The laxative Chinese herbs commonly added to weight loss tea include rhubarb, senna leaves, cassia seed, aloe vera, etc. They are all anthraquinone drugs, which can soften stools and stimulate the large intestine to increase peristalsis and defecation, and they are quick in effect. However, if you drink it for a long time, the responsiveness of the intestinal wall nerve receptor cells will be reduced, the intestinal wall nerve cells will change, and the intestines may even turn black. In this condition, even if there is enough feces in the intestines, normal peristalsis and defecation reflex cannot occur, which may cause stubborn constipation.

In daily life, constipation occurs, we can adjust it through the following two main means:

1. Drink plenty of water to replenish body water. Generally speaking, we recommend that patients with constipation drink more than 1500 ml of water every day. Only in this way can our intestines have enough water to facilitate the excretion of feces.

2. Eat more high-fiber foods. We all know that dietary fiber itself is not easily absorbed by the body, but it can absorb water in our intestinal cavity, thereby greatly increasing the volume of stool, and can also stimulate the colon and enhance excretion power. Therefore, we can effectively improve constipation symptoms by eating more foods rich in dietary fiber, such as wheat bran, brown rice, vegetables, and fruits (such as mangoes, bananas, etc.).

From the above content, we can understand that drinking slimming tea to solve the problem of constipation can only have a temporary effect. Long-term drinking of slimming tea will not only fail to effectively relieve constipation, but may cause stubborn constipation. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not use the method of drinking slimming tea to improve constipation for a long time. Pay more attention to a reasonable diet and exercise to ensure that toxins are discharged from the body in a timely manner every day.
