How should we check our physical health?

How should we check our physical health?

People nowadays are very busy, so most of the time you certainly don’t have time to go to the hospital for a physical check-up. In this way, you won’t be able to learn about some problems with your body in time. This is very helpful for your body. In fact, you can usually do a health check yourself, so you can properly understand these methods, so that you can know whether you are healthy anytime and anywhere.

1. Breath-holding test

Take a deep breath and hold it as long as possible. If a person over 50 years old can hold his breath for about 30 seconds, it proves that his lung function is good. After holding your breath for a long time, exhale slowly. The ideal exhalation time is 3 seconds.

2. Respiratory function test

Breathe normally in a quiet state and record your respiratory rate per minute. The following frequencies are the optimal values for each age group. Those exceeding or falling below these data are considered suboptimal: 10-15 times for 40 years old; 8-10 times for 50 years old; 5-10 times for 60 years old.

3. Heart function test

In 1 minute, bend forward 20 times, exhaling when leaning forward and inhaling when standing upright. Record your pulse before bending over, measure your pulse immediately after exercising, and measure it for the third time 1 minute after the exercise. Add these three data, subtract 200, and divide by 10. If the resulting number is 0-3, it indicates excellent heart function; 4-6 is good; 9-12 is poor; and above 12, you should seek medical attention immediately.

4. Sit-up test

Lie on your back on the ground or in bed, bend your legs and press them down, cross your hands and place them on your chest, lift your upper body and lean forward so that your hands can touch your feet. For one minute, record the number of times you sit up straight with your upper body. 35-40 times at the age of 40 is in good health; 25-30 times at the age of 50; and 15-20 times at the age of 60.

These methods are relatively common and very effective. If you feel unwell while doing these tests, you should adjust your body in time, or go to the hospital for a check-up. This way you can find out what's wrong with your body in time, which is also very helpful for your body. If you want to be healthy, the most important thing is to have a regular life.
