These mycotoxins, such as aflatoxin and ochratoxin, have strong carcinogenic effects. Moreover, different mycotoxins have different toxic effects. Some can cause damage to the liver and kidneys, some can cause symptoms of the nervous system, and some can cause skin inflammation. Take aflatoxin, which is quite common in our lives. Experiments have shown that aflatoxin’s ability to cause liver cancer is dozens of times stronger than the carcinogen dimethylnitrosamine. Doesn’t it sound scary?
