It is not uncommon in medicine for pregnancy to occur through sexual organ contact alone. Generally speaking, when conception occurs under such circumstances, the hymen basically remains intact, and even if no real sexual intercourse occurs, the woman may become pregnant, but the probability of this happening is relatively small. The main reason for this is that the male ejaculates outside the vagina during sexual excitement, but some sperm has already entered the vagina, and the woman happens to be in her ovulation period. The man is young and strong, and in an excited environment, the amount of semen ejaculated by the man must be at a higher level. Therefore, although he did not ejaculate in the vagina, due to the large amount of semen, some of it may flow into the vagina. Although the woman has a hymen blocking the vaginal opening, the normal hymen also has many gaps. As long as a drop of semen flows at the vaginal opening, the sperm will enter the uterus along the fallopian tube and mate with the egg, causing the woman to become pregnant. Especially women are more likely to get pregnant during their ovulation period and sexual climax. During normal sexual intercourse, semen is stored in a place deep in the vagina called the posterior fornix (semen pool), which is closest to the cervix. This makes it easy for sperm to pass through the cervix, through the uterus and to the fertilization site 1/3 outside the fallopian tube. If the sperm fails to enter the cervix, it can only survive in the acidic environment of the vagina for a short period of time, 6-8 hours. Usually, the man's sperm must be very healthy and have strong vitality in order to conception. The reason why sperm is not killed by the acidic environment in the vagina is that the woman's ovulation period plays a role. During ovulation, the secretions of the cervix increase, and when the sexual desire is highly excited, the secretion can continue to increase. The fluid secreted from the cervix is weakly alkaline, which can neutralize the acidic environment of the vagina, thereby protecting the sperm remaining in the vagina and prolonging its lifespan. Moreover, sperm needs to go through a "capacitation" process to have the ability to fertilize. Sperm capacitation generally starts from the cervix, but when the woman's sexual desire is strong, a large amount of fluid secreted by the cervix flows into the vagina. At this time, the sperm capacitation can be advanced. The capacitated sperm appears healthier and more active, and its tail swings faster, showing a specific "whip-like" movement method, which not only allows it to survive in the vagina, but also swims into the uterus at a faster speed, thus leading to conception. |
