Causes and treatments of dental nerve necrosis

Dental nerve necrosis is a relatively serious dental disease. If not treated immediately, it will affect more teeth. Dental nerve necrosis is not incurable. As long as you look at the reality of the disease correctly and cooperate with the doctor's active treatment, the impact of dental nerve necrosis on the body can be minimized. Below we will introduce the causes and treatments of dental nerve necrosis in detail.

There are many causes of dental nerve necrosis, such as: bacterial factors: from a biological point of view, pulp disease can be said to be an infectious disease, and bacteria are the most important pathogenic factor of pulp disease; physical factors include mechanical trauma, such as: acute dental trauma, chronic occlusal injury, temperature and electric current stimulation; chemical factors mainly come from cavity disinfectants, pads and fillings; idiopathic factors may come from internal or external tooth resorption.

If a tooth is decayed or the dental nerve is necrotic, root canal treatment is required first. The affected tooth should be drilled to remove the necrotic dental nerve, the root canal should be prepared and sealed with medicine to reduce inflammation, and finally the root canal should be tightly filled. As long as the root canal treatment is done properly, apical periodontitis will generally not occur again.

Dentures are made by grinding your own teeth smaller, taking a model, and making a cap-like porcelain tooth on it. The shape is consistent with that of a normal tooth. If the root of the affected tooth is relatively stable, there is no need to wear down the adjacent teeth.

Porcelain teeth include metal-based crowns and all-ceramic ones. Nickel-chromium alloy porcelain teeth can easily discolor the gums and may be nephrotoxic, so they are not recommended. Other metals such as cobalt-chromium alloy, silver-palladium alloy, gold and gold will not have adverse effects. Metal teeth will affect CT, MRI and other examinations. If you are worried about this, you can choose all-ceramic teeth. If you have good financial conditions, you can choose zirconium dioxide, if you are economical, you can choose alumina, or cast porcelain. The specific situation needs to be decided according to the condition of your own teeth.

In the above, we have introduced in detail the causes and treatments of dental nerve necrosis. We know that there are many causes of dental nerve necrosis. In life, I must pay more attention to reducing the chance of dental nerve necrosis. Once dental nerve necrosis occurs, don’t be too scared. You must go to the hospital for specialized treatment.
