Prevention and care of facial paralysis

Prevention and care of facial paralysis

Everyone must be particularly interested in knowing the prevention and care of facial paralysis. Especially for those who love beauty, our daily grooming and dressing cannot match a face with facial paralysis. In order to prevent it from happening to us and to provide some help to patients with sudden facial paralysis, here we explore some prevention and care methods of facial paralysis.

prevention:

To prevent facial paralysis, you should start from small things. Avoid air conditioners or electric fans blowing directly on your body. If you feel a little cold, adjust the wind direction or turn off the appliance. When encountering strong winds and cold weather, gently pat and press some important acupoints on the face, behind the ears, and neck when going out to increase your ability to resist the cold. We should face work and life with an optimistic and peaceful mental state, reduce psychological pressure and avoid overwork. If you experience facial numbness or other discomfort, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Nursing methods for facial paralysis:

1. Psychological care: Most patients suffer from sudden onset of illness, and inevitably experience tension, anxiety, and fear. Some are ashamed to see people because of concerns about facial changes, and that poor treatment effects may leave sequelae. At this time, according to the different psychological characteristics of the patients, patiently explain and comfort them, relieve their tension, stabilize their emotions, and keep their bodies and minds in the best state to receive treatment and care, so as to improve the treatment effect.

2. Eye protection: Since the eyelids do not close completely or cannot close, the blinking action and corneal reflex disappear, and the cornea is exposed for a long time, it is easy to cause intraocular infection and damage the cornea. Therefore, eye protection is very important. Reduce the use of eyes, wear sunglasses for protection when going out, and at the same time, put some eye drops with lubricating, anti-inflammatory and nutritional effects. Wear an eye mask or gauze for protection when sleeping.

3. Local care: hot compress to dispel wind: apply ginger powder to the paralyzed side for 1/2 hour a day; apply warm and wet towel to the face 2-3 times a day, and massage the affected side by yourself in the morning and evening. The strength should be appropriate and the location should be accurate. As long as the muscles on the affected side can move, you can frown, close your eyes, whistle, show teeth, etc. in front of the mirror. Do each movement for 2 or 4 eight beats, 2-3 times a day. This is very important to prevent atrophy of paralyzed muscles and promote recovery. In addition, patients with facial paralysis should be careful not to wash their faces with cold water, avoid direct exposure to wind, pay attention to weather changes, add clothes in time, and prevent colds.

From the above we know a lot of prevention and care methods for facial paralysis. Psychological care is also a very critical step. First of all, everyone should not have any psychological burden. The most important thing is to actively cooperate with treatment and recover as soon as possible. I hope this will be helpful to everyone. We only have one life, so cherish your body and protect your health, so that we can live healthy and peacefully until old age.
