Postoperative care precautions

Postoperative care precautions

Everyone must want to know what we need to pay attention to after the operation. Many friends don’t know how to take care of themselves after undergoing some surgeries, which leads to a prolonged recovery period and, in severe cases, inflammation. Today I will tell you several common postoperative care methods so that you don’t get confused anymore. I hope it will be helpful to you.

1. Things to know after liposuction surgery:

1. Avoid tobacco, alcohol and spicy food (such as ginger, garlic, seafood, etc.) within two weeks.

2. Do not open the bandaged wound without authorization to check. Keep the bandage stable after surgery. The external dressing should be kept dry. If the fixed pressure bandage is too tight or too loose, go to the hospital for treatment in time.

3. You should exercise appropriately within three days after the operation and avoid excessive strenuous exercise, but you must be accompanied by a caregiver; prevent secondary bleeding and orthostatic hypotension; avoid physical labor or strenuous exercise within two weeks after the stitches are removed; you can resume normal activities 3-4 weeks after the operation.

4. Within two days after limb liposuction, you should pay attention to the condition of the distal limbs. If there is obvious swelling, numbness, severe pain or other abnormal conditions, you should contact our hospital in time.

5. Change the dressing 24-48 hours after surgery, remove the stitches 7-10 days later, perform liposuction and abdominoplasty, and bathe normally 48 hours after the stitches are removed.

6. Remove the fixation bandage 3-5 days after the operation and replace with shaping underwear, which can be used for 0-3 hours.

7. After the operation, routine intravenous hemostatic drugs are given for 2-3 days, antibiotics and other recovery-promoting drugs are given for 5-7 days.

2. Things to know after facial cosmetic surgery:

1. Avoid tobacco, alcohol and spicy food (such as ginger, garlic, seafood, etc.) within two weeks.

2. The planed surface should not come into contact with water, hands or other objects.

3. Change the dressing on the first or second day after surgery as required by the doctor.

4. Do not touch water for 24 hours after the stitches are removed. You can resume washing your face normally after 24 or 48 hours.

5. Take the medicine for 5-7 days as prescribed by your doctor.

6. If the surgical area is severely swollen, bruised, red, bleeding, intensified pain, abnormal secretions from the wound, or abnormal vision after eye surgery, please come to our hospital for a follow-up examination or call for consultation in time.

10. Return to the hospital for follow-up examination 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after the operation.

11. Follow the special instructions of the surgeon.

3. Things to know after breast plastic surgery:

1. Avoid spicy and irritating foods (such as ginger, garlic, seafood, beverages, etc.), smoking and drinking within 2 weeks after the operation.

2. Do not open the bandaged wound without authorization, and the external dressing should be kept dry.

3. The straps used for postoperative fixation and shaping should not be opened or loosened without the doctor's approval.

4. Within one week after surgery, the amount of activity should be kept to a minimum to prevent bleeding and loosening of the shaping and fixation bands, which may lead to prosthesis displacement.

5. Change the dressing within 48 hours after surgery, remove the stitches after 7 days, and bathe normally 48 hours after the stitches are removed. Limit chest and upper limb activities within 2 weeks after breast augmentation surgery, and resume normal activities after 3 weeks. Start breast massage 3-7 days after surgery, once in the morning and once in the evening, each time for 15-20 minutes, and continue for half a year. The method is to place your palms against the breasts, squeeze and knead the breasts in a circular motion, up and down, and intersperse with some light pinching. Be careful to avoid violent collisions, trauma, and penetration by sharp objects. Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive compression for one month after stitches are removed.

The above are the things you need to pay attention to after liposuction, beauty, and plastic surgery. From this we can see that after the operation is completed, good care is still a big task, and postoperative care has a great impact on our health recovery. In addition to the three types of postoperative care that I introduced, there are many other little common sense about postoperative care that we don’t know. This requires everyone to join the group to understand this aspect, pay attention to small details, and speed up our health recovery.
