Six "three minutes" a day can extend your life by ten years

What can you do in 3 minutes? Eat breakfast while waiting for the bus on the roadside; when you are tired from work, stand up and look into the distance at the window to stretch your muscles; take a break from your busy schedule to post a Weibo or send a WeChat message?... There are too many insignificant 3 minutes in life that no one cares about. But if you do these six 3-minute steps, you can easily gain health.

1. Brush your teeth for 3 minutes

Dentists recommend brushing your teeth three times a day, half an hour after a meal, and each time for more than three minutes, to keep your teeth clean.

The dentist introduced that this method of brushing teeth is what we have always advocated. In fact, each of our teeth has 5 surfaces. The two adjacent surfaces between the teeth are often overlooked. We usually brush the outside, inside and occlusal surfaces. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to brush your teeth for more than 3 minutes.

In addition, it is best to brush your teeth within half an hour after a meal to avoid bacteria depositing on the tooth surface and prevent tooth decay. At other times, just rinse your mouth with clean water.

2. Eat hot food and drink cold food for 3 minutes

On a cold winter day, it is undoubtedly a great pleasure to sit together with friends and family and enjoy hotpot. It will be even more enjoyable if you drink some iced drinks during the meal. However, this may cause "strong protests" from the stomach and blood pressure.

After eating hot food, the gastrointestinal system expands, and drinking a lot of cold drinks immediately will make it difficult for the originally warm stomach to adapt to the sudden stimulation of cold drinks, which will inevitably lead to a series of adverse reactions. At this time, the blood vessels will contract rapidly and the secretion of gastric juice will change, which is not only bad for digestion, but also the dilated blood vessels will contract sharply, leading to increased blood pressure and symptoms such as dizziness and nausea, which is very dangerous for patients with hypertension.

Therefore, it is best not to eat foods with sharp temperature contrasts within a short period of time. Even if you want to drink some cold drink to quench your thirst after eating something hot, you should wait for more than 3 minutes to reduce irritation to your stomach.

3. Stay in bed for 3 minutes after waking up

Statistics show that many cases of stroke and sudden death occur in the early morning, which is known as the "devil's time" of the day.

In the early morning, the human body has lost water throughout the night and has no time to replenish it, so the blood viscosity reaches its highest point. Once the body is exposed to cold and blood vessels contract, it is easy to cause acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Experts suggest that you should not rush to get up after waking up, but should lie in bed for a while before getting up. This can at least prevent 50% of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular patients from accidents.

4. Abdominal breathing for 3 minutes

Health scientists have found that at least half of the people have incorrect breathing methods. They should do abdominal breathing for at least 3 minutes a day in the fresh air outdoors. Have you ever thought that we don’t even know the correct way to breathe?

The correct way to breathe is: when inhaling, the deeper the air, the better. At this time, the diaphragm descends, squeezing the internal organs downwards, and the stomach will expand instead of the chest. When you exhale, your muscles relax and your diaphragm rises higher than usual, allowing you to take a deep breath and exhale the carbon dioxide that's stagnant at the bottom of your lungs.

In fact, all mammals use abdominal breathing. Humans also mainly use abdominal breathing when they are fetuses and infants. From the time they learn to walk, they change to partial chest breathing. Studies have shown that abdominal breathing can fully utilize the functions of heart and lung cells, increase lung capacity, and strengthen heart function. Due to the regular increase and decrease of abdominal pressure, the activity of abdominal organs is enhanced, which improves the blood circulation of the digestive tract, promotes the digestive and absorption function of the digestive tract, promotes intestinal peristalsis, prevents constipation, and accelerates the excretion of toxins. Abdominal breathing can be achieved by consciously changing the way you breathe. It is very simple and easy. If you can stick to it for a long time, it can also eliminate abdominal fat, improve abdominal blood circulation, and is very beneficial to your health.

5. Brew tea for 3 minutes

Everyone knows how to drink tea, but not everyone knows how to brew it properly. To make a good pot of tea, you need to control the brewing time. If the time is too short, the tea soup will be bland and tasteless. If the time is too long, the soup will be thick, deep in color, but light in aroma. The water temperature for brewing tea should be 90℃. When brewing tea, the extracts from tea leaves are vitamins, amino acids and caffeine in order, and 3 minutes is the best time. If it is longer, polyphenols will be extracted and make the tea taste bitter, which is not good for health.

6. Don’t be angry for more than 3 minutes

American physiologist Elma found that people’s physiological reactions when they are angry are very intense, so people who are prone to anger are unlikely to live long. When people are angry, their blood pressure instantly rises to a very high level. People in poor health, especially the elderly, are prone to cerebral hemorrhage, heart disease and myocardial infarction. Therefore, you should not be angry for more than 3 minutes. Even if you are angry, it should come and go quickly. Express your anger as soon as possible and try your best to keep your emotions stable.
