What to do if you get poisoned by coal smoke

Although more and more people are choosing to use electricity instead of gas and various natural gas in cooking or daily life, in fact, if it is not used correctly and does not pay attention to some details during use, it can easily lead to poisoning. Therefore, we should do more prevention in our lives! Do you know how to deal with coal smoke poisoning?

If this poisoning problem is not solved, it will pose a great threat to our health and life. Therefore, I hope everyone can pay more attention to these issues in daily life. Only by doing a good job of prevention can we better reduce the occurrence of this poisoning phenomenon.

(1) Immediately open doors and windows, move the patient to a well-ventilated area with fresh air, and keep the patient warm. Find the cause of gas leakage and eliminate hidden dangers.

(2) Loosen buttons, keep the airway open, and clear oral and nasal secretions. If respiratory arrest is detected, immediately perform mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration and external cardiac massage.

(3) Immediately perform acupuncture treatment, using acupoints such as Taiyang, Lieque, Renzhong, Shaoshang, Shixuan, Hegu, Yongquan, and Zusanli. Patients with mild or moderate poisoning can gradually wake up after acupuncture.

(4) Give oxygen immediately. If conditions permit, transfer the patient to a hospital hyperbaric oxygen chamber for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This is especially suitable for patients with moderate to severe gas poisoning. It can not only revive the patient but also reduce the sequelae.

(5) Immediately intravenously inject 50 ml of 50% glucose solution plus 500-1000 mg of vitamin C. Mild and moderate patients can use it for 2 consecutive days, 1 to 2 times a day. It can not only replenish energy, but also has the effect of dehydration. Early application can prevent or reduce cerebral edema. (6) A comatose patient should be treated as a comatose patient.

Cases of death due to poisoning are not uncommon in society, so this has also sounded the alarm for people. We must pay attention to prevention in our daily lives. Only when we pay attention to various prevention issues can we reduce the occurrence of poisoning and ensure our lives and health.
