1. Pulmonary function test 1. Hold your breath Take a deep breath, and hold it for as long as possible. It is ideal to be able to hold your breath for 50 seconds (30 seconds for 50 years old and 25 seconds for 60 years old). If it is less than 10 seconds, it means that your lung function is very poor. 2. Blowing Take a deep breath, then blow out hard. If you can finish blowing out within 3 seconds, your lung function is normal (4 seconds for a 50-year-old and 5 seconds for a 60-year-old). If the blowing time of middle-aged and elderly people exceeds 6 seconds, it indicates a decline in lung function and the possible existence of airway obstructive pulmonary disease, which is most likely caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
2. Cardiac function test 1. Jog in place for a while You may feel slightly breathless and your pulse may increase to 100-120 beats per minute. If the pulse returns to normal within 5-6 minutes after stopping activity, the heart function is good. If it recovers in 8 minutes, it means the heart function is poor; if it exceeds 8 minutes, there is a problem with the heart function. 2. Climb stairs Middle-aged and elderly people may feel their heartbeat quicken and they may feel a little breathless after climbing 3-5 flights of stairs, but they are considered healthy if they can return to normal after resting for 10 minutes. If you feel like your heart is going to jump out of your throat after climbing the stairs, and you still feel shortness of breath and difficulty breathing after resting for 20-30 minutes, or even your heartbeat is getting faster and faster, then your heart function has obviously declined. 3. Arteriosclerosis examination Seated forward bend Sit on the floor, stretch your legs forward with your toes pointing upward, bend forward at the waist, and stretch your arms forward trying to touch your toes. If you cannot reach your toes, or feel shortness of breath, palpitations, or other discomfort when reaching your toes, it means that your arteries have hardened. When doing the above movements, the arterial walls are stretched, and if the blood vessel walls harden, discomfort will occur. 4. Diabetes test Unilateral ptosis If middle-aged and elderly people suddenly experience drooping eyelids on one side, this is a sign of oculomotor nerve paralysis caused by diabetes. Long-term chronic hyperglycemia can cause metabolic disorders in the body, leading to diabetic microangiopathy and causing unilateral ptosis. There is pain in the supraorbital area of the affected side, and sometimes double vision. 5. Glaucoma examination Observe the pupil The normal diameter of the pupil is 2-5 mm and it is round. Oval pupils are often a sign of glaucoma. When the intraocular pressure of glaucoma patients increases, the ischemia of the distal arteries is most obvious, so the ischemia of the upper and lower irises occurs earliest and most severely, and the ischemic atrophy of the iris is more obvious, causing the pupil to become a vertical ellipse. 6. Kidney disease examination To check urine protein, take 100 ml of fresh urine, put it in a container, heat it to boiling, the urine will become turbid. At this time, add 5-10 drops of white vinegar to the urine and heat it again. If the turbidity disappears, it is normal. If the turbidity does not disappear, it is proteinuria and you should be alert. 7. Blood viscosity test Look at the tongue, stick it out in front of the mirror. If the tongue is purple, it means the blood is viscous. If it is not only purple but also has purple spots, the blood viscosity is too high and poor circulation and congestion have occurred. 8. Osteoporosis examination Measuring the distance between middle fingers Stretch your hands out horizontally to the sides, measure the straight-line distance between the tips of your middle fingers, and then measure your height. If your height is less than the distance between two fingers, it indicates osteoporosis and decreased bone density. For those whose height is 2-3 cm less than the distance between the fingertips, X-rays may show obvious osteoporosis.
9. Lumbar disc herniation examination Stretch your back and abdomen Lie on your back with your hands on the sides of your body. Use your occipital bone and heels as fulcrums to lift your abdomen upward. Maintain the above position and take a deep breath and hold it for 10-20 seconds until your face flushes. If you feel lower back pain and radiating pain in your lower limbs, it indicates a lumbar disc herniation. This test increases the intra-abdominal pressure to increase the pressure in the lumbar spinal canal. If lumbar disc herniation causes radiculopathy, it will cause pain in the lower back and lower limbs. 10. Sacroiliac joint examination? Cross-legged test Also known as the "Figure 4" test, lie on your back and bend one foot inward and place it on the straight thigh of the other side. Ask your family to hold the opposite hip with one hand and press the bent knee down with the other hand. If pain occurs in the buttocks, it indicates that there is a lesion in the sacroiliac joint. Sacroiliac joint disease is one of the common causes of low back and leg pain, especially in the elderly. 1. People don’t actually need too many things. As long as they live healthily and love sincerely, they can be considered rich. 2. If you can't figure it out, don't think about it. If you can't get it, don't want it. Why make it hard for yourself? 3. For life, acceptance is the best gentleness, whether it is accepting the appearance of a person or accepting the disappearance of a person. 4. Life is tiring. A small part of it comes from the need to survive, and a large part comes from comparison. 5. There is no absolute fairness in life, but it is relatively fair. Put it on a scale, the more you get, the more you have to bear than others. 6. You never know how strong you are until one day you have no choice but to be strong. 7. What is yours is yours. We have worked hard, cherished, and have no regrets. Leave the rest to fate. 8. When you can’t hold on any longer, you can say to yourself: “I’m so tired”, but never admit in your heart: “I can’t do it”. 9.Being worldly-wise but not worldly-wise is the kindest form of maturity. 10. There are many things in life that can knock you down, but what can really knock you down is your own mentality. |
