Avoid seven skin care mistakes and do the right beauty to stay beautiful

When people are keen on skin care, they seem to forget whether this skin care method is correct or not, and just do the skin care work every day out of habit. In fact, incorrect skin care methods will not only fail to improve skin condition, but may even cause serious damage to fragile skin. Therefore, when caring for your skin, you must recognize which misunderstandings should be avoided and which wrong methods must be eliminated.

Myth 1: If there are a lot of pimples on your face, it must be because your skin is not clean.

Many people think that if they have acne, it must be related to incomplete cleansing, so they wash their faces and exfoliate frantically. In fact, this will only cause more damage to your fragile acne-prone skin. The correct approach is: the appearance of acne may be a symptom of skin sensitivity or adult acne caused by stress, so you should see a doctor.

A professional doctor will review and recommend what kind of care methods, care products and medicines you should take before you take action. Don’t just apply acne treatment products, exfoliate or deep cleanse, as these will further irritate the skin.

Myth 2: Rough, red, and dry skin is ugly, so use more powder to cover it up

If your skin is inflamed, stop wearing makeup. Inflamed skin is very sensitive, so stop wearing makeup first. This way the skin can breathe easily and freely and slowly recover. If you use cosmetics, it will only cause more damage to your skin. For sensitive skin that has become inflamed, powder will not adhere to the skin even if applied, and the skin will become more sensitive due to lack of air permeability. It is best not to put on makeup and let the skin rest for a few days. If you must put on makeup, just "sunscreen + powder" will do.

Myth 3: If your skin is allergic, dry and itchy, it would be better to use a moisturizing cream instead

Thick and sticky skin care products are a burden to sensitive skin, so never use them. Skin care products that are too oily and too moisturizing can easily irritate sensitive skin and are not easily absorbed. The texture of "lotion" is more suitable for sensitive skin than cream and essence.

Misconception 4: Apply facial cleanser directly to your face and scrub it

Facial cleanser that is not rubbed into foam will stick tightly to the surface of the skin and damage the sebum film. The correct method is: add clean water to the facial cleanser and rub it to make foam first, because the detergent after foaming can exert the cleaning effect, and the foam is milder than the unfoamed milky state. When washing your face, wash the T-zone first, then gently wash your cheeks with warm water.

Myth 5: Once you experience sensitivity, you switch to a whole set of special skin care products for sensitive skin

This is not safe, as once the skin is allergic, it will become extremely delicate. The correct way is: don't replace all of them at once. You can start with the last products in the skin care routine, such as night cream or lotion, and gradually replace all of them. You can also stop using irritating products first, such as those containing alcohol or fruit acid.

Misconception 6: Simplifying skin care routine for fear of skin allergies, just applying some toner is enough

People with sensitive skin must use sunscreen and bail lotion. "Itching" is the most common symptom of sensitive skin. The biggest reason for itching is dryness. Only by fully moisturizing the skin can you alleviate allergic symptoms and help cells recover. Applying sunscreen can prevent the skin from being damaged by ultraviolet rays.

Myth 7: If you don’t have time to clean your powder puff, it’s okay to continue using it

Unclean makeup tools are also the culprit for skin sensitivity! When you touch up your makeup, the oil on your face will be absorbed by the powder puff. The oil-soaked powder puff comes into contact with the air, which is the best breeding ground for bacteria. Using a dirty powder puff is not only unsightly, but it can also make your skin fragile or cause acne. The powder puff should be cleaned once a week with a special cleanser or mild soap. After washing, press it with facial tissue to absorb water and then dry it in the shade. Skin care is done daily, and the method must be correct to truly achieve results.
