How long after exercise should you breastfeed during breastfeeding?

During the breastfeeding period, most women need to lose weight, so they will do some weight loss exercises. Here we would like to remind all mothers that it is best not to exercise in a short period of time after delivery, especially during the confinement period, you must rest more. After the body recovers, you can do some slow weight loss exercises, such as jogging, yoga, etc. So how long do mothers need to wait before breastfeeding after exercising?

How long after exercise should you breastfeed during breastfeeding?

During breastfeeding, after exercise, you can feed your baby after half an hour. In this way, you can also squeeze out the milk and put it in the bottle for your baby to drink.

Breastfeeding mothers should not breastfeed their babies immediately after exercise. Some breastfeeding mothers may experience an increase in a byproduct, lactic acid, in their breast milk after exercise, and the amount of exercise is directly proportional to the amount of lactic acid. Although this lactic acid itself does not cause any harm to the baby's health, forcing the baby to eat breast milk after it becomes sour is very harmful to the relationship between mother and child.

Of course, this does not mean that breastfeeding mothers cannot exercise. The best way is for the mother to rest for 10-20 minutes after exercise before feeding the baby.

The main difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercise is whether the muscles are adequately supplied with oxygen. For the human body, the main difference lies in the heart rate. For example, when running, the same 500 meters, the state of running in a short burst of sprint and running slowly is completely different. So sit-ups are an aerobic exercise for someone who can easily do 50 at a time, but for someone who can only do 30 but is asked to do 50 at a time, it may be an anaerobic exercise. In this process, the energy consumed and metabolic pathways of the two are different. It can directly consume some fat, but it can also increase muscle and make the meat firm, achieving the best of both worlds.

Lactic acid is an intermediate product in the human body's biochemical reaction process. It is produced in normal metabolism and activities, but the content is very small because lactic acid can continue to decompose and disappear. However, if the exercise is too intense, the minerals or vitamins needed to break down lactic acid will not be replenished in time, which can easily cause lactic acid accumulation. However, if you rest for a period of time after exercise, or take appropriate supplements of coenzyme Q10, B vitamins or minerals, lactic acid can still continue to be broken down. Generally speaking, half an hour to an hour is enough. In fact, some studies have already studied this issue. Even if the baby is fed an hour after very intense exercise, there is no phenomenon that the baby does not like to drink milk. Moreover, lactic acid will not have any physiological effect on the baby, at most it will just make the taste different. Therefore, mothers should not worry that breast milk will become sour after exercise and affect the baby. Instead, do a small amount of anaerobic exercise + appropriate aerobic exercise, not too intense. Replenish water in time after exercise, and breastfeed after 1 or 2 hours. Take a shower before breastfeeding to wash away the sweat and salt.
