Symptoms of gas poisoning

Symptoms of gas poisoning

Gas poisoning is now a common disease risk in our life. The carbon monoxide produced when the fuel is not fully burned will cause some poisoning phenomena. At the same time, some common carbon monoxide poisoning phenomena must be treated in time in life, otherwise it will cause life-threatening danger. At the same time, many patients will have many symptoms after carbon monoxide poisoning, so in first aid, we must choose a more correct treatment method.

Many friends are not very familiar with gas poisoning. Gas poisoning is mainly caused by the incomplete combustion of some diesel or coal gas to produce carbon monoxide. When carbon monoxide enters the human body, part of it is mainly combined with hemoglobin, and some of it is mainly used to destroy and damage body cells.

Signs and symptoms of CO poisoning vary widely and depend on many factors, such as exposure concentration and duration of exposure. Symptoms are nonspecific and may include flu-like symptoms, altered mental status, seizures, coma, gastrointestinal symptoms, shortness of breath, hyperventilation, headache, arrhythmias, angina, and polycythemia. Symptoms and signs of cerebral hypoxia and poisoning are the main manifestations of CO poisoning. Mild cerebral hypoxia may manifest as dizziness, blurred vision, headache, general fatigue, nausea and vomiting, chest tightness, palpitations, etc. Patients with severe cerebral hypoxia present with coma accompanied by increased muscle tone and decorticate rigidity. Patients whose circulatory function is in a compensatory state may be the first to show symptoms, and the symptoms are the most serious. For example, patients with coronary heart disease may suffer acute myocardial infarction after severe poisoning.

Diet therapy:

(1) Take 100 grams of Xiangzui, add it to 100 grams of boiled water, and let the patient drink it slowly. Suitable for poisoning patients with mild early symptoms.

(2) Take 10 bowls of pickled mustard greens, cabbage, etc. and drink it all at once. It is effective.

(3) Crush fresh white radish and extract juice, about 100 grams, drink it all at once. The patient will be cured in 1 hour. Suitable for people in early coma due to gas poisoning.

What should the patient eat?

1. Provide a diet that is high in carbohydrates, low in fat, and contains an appropriate amount of high-quality protein. Rice and sugar porridge is an ideal diet in the early stages of this disease. It is easy to digest and can suppress nausea and vomiting, and is better than pasta.

2. Supplement appropriate amounts of vitamins A, B complex, C, etc., and eat foods rich in the above vitamins.

3. Comatose patients are prone to taking liquid food, such as porridge.

The above are the manifestations of gas poisoning. In life, gas poisoning mainly causes nausea and vomiting. Severe patients fall into a coma and their mental systems are seriously damaged. Many patients have some unconsciousness. Some nursing methods for gas poisoning patients are relatively critical. They must be treated and diagnosed in time, and vitamin supplements must be appropriate.
