Low blood pressure range

Low blood pressure range

The word blood pressure is not unfamiliar in people's daily lives, especially among the elderly, who often talk about blood pressure. Usually people measure their blood pressure at home or in a clinic or hospital to check whether their blood pressure is normal. Everyone knows that both high and low blood pressure are bad. Many people know how to measure blood pressure, but do not know the standard range of blood pressure, while some people only know the high range but not the low range. The range of blood pressure is knowledge that people should be familiar with.

Only by knowing this range can you check whether your blood pressure is normal when you measure it yourself. In daily life, if people experience some discomfort in their bodies, it may be related to high or low blood pressure in the body. So today let’s talk about the range of low blood pressure.

The standard normal blood pressure range for hypotension is systolic pressure between 90-140mmhg (12.0-18.7kpa), and diastolic pressure between 60-90mmhg (8.0-12.0kpa). Above this range may be hypertension or borderline hypertension, and below this range may be hypotension.

Hypotension usually refers to blood pressure below 90/60 mmHg. Many healthy people's blood pressure is lower than this, but if symptoms of hypotension occur, you should seek medical attention. Some people with low blood pressure will experience symptoms such as dizziness, headache, fear of cold, and weakness in the limbs due to insufficient blood supply to the brain and body.

The hazards of hypotension: Due to low intravascular pressure, patients with hypotension suffer from slow blood circulation and ischemia of distal capillaries, which affects the supply of oxygen and nutrients to tissue cells and the excretion of carbon dioxide and metabolic waste. Because the drop in blood pressure affects the blood supply to the brain and heart, the body's function is greatly reduced, and the quality of work and life is reduced accordingly. Main hazards: Dizziness, weakness, fatigue, decreased work ability; accidents such as syncope, falls, fractures, etc.; mental disorders such as depression and depression; transient cerebral ischemia, cerebral infarction, myocardial ischemia; hearing loss, visual impairment

It can be seen that if the blood pressure is lower than the above value when measured, then you need to pay attention. At this time, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time, but don't ignore it. Low blood pressure can easily cause people to feel dizzy or even faint without knowing it.
