What is the reason for blushing

Blushing is very common. It is a problem that many people have experienced. When this happens, don't worry too much. There are many reasons for blushing. After this phenomenon occurs, you should improve it according to your own situation. This will be of great help to yourself. So what is the reason for blushing? Many people don't understand this aspect, so detailed consultation is also needed.

Many people are not very clear about the reasons for blushing, so when this problem occurs, if the blushing does not subside, you should relax your emotions first, so that the problem can be improved.

What causes blushing:

When you feel embarrassed, your body releases adrenaline. This hormone is a natural stimulant and has a range of effects on the body that are part of the fight-or-flight response. Adrenaline makes your breathing and heart beat faster, preparing you to flee from danger. Your pupils dilate so you can see as much as possible. Adrenaline also slows down your digestive process, redirecting energy to your muscles. The shivers you feel when you are embarrassed are all of these reactions combined.

Adrenaline also causes your blood vessels to dilate (called vasodilation), speeding up blood flow and oxygen delivery. This is why the face turns red. The blood vessels in your face respond to signals from the chemical transmitter adenylate cyclase, sending adrenaline into overdrive. Finally, the veins in your face dilate, causing more blood to flow through them. At this point, your face will turn red and others will know that you are embarrassed. In other words, adrenaline causes more local blood flow to the cheeks.

This sounds reasonable, but interestingly, this is an abnormal reaction of the veins. Other types of blood vessels respond to adrenaline, but veins generally do not. Elsewhere in the body, veins don't react when adrenaline is released; the hormone has little or no effect on them.

We can blush because of drinking or excitement, but the blushing caused by embarrassment is different from these situations because only this type of blush is triggered by adrenaline.

Some people undergo surgery to control their blushing reaction. Erythrophobia is a psychological fear caused by shyness, and patients usually blush when they see people. Some people undergo surgery to remove the tiny nerves in the spine that control blushing. This procedure, called endothoracic sympathectomy, has been shown to be effective in controlling blushing.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the reasons for blushing. When improving, we must start with our own habits. This will be of great help in improving the blushing problem. People are prone to blushing when they are nervous, so there is no need to worry about whether there is a problem with yourself at this time.
