The hazards of electromagnetic radiation

The hazards of electromagnetic radiation

With the improvement of the quality of life, we use more and more electrical products in our lives, and the relative electromagnetic radiation will become more and more serious. There are many times when it is hard to guard against. There are also many high-voltage lines in urban construction, certain examinations in hospitals, etc., which will bring electromagnetic radiation. So what we can do is to avoid the interference of electromagnetic radiation as much as possible and stay away from electromagnetic radiation as much as possible.

The harm caused by electromagnetic radiation to the human body cannot be ignored. Minor injuries will make people feel uncomfortable. If it is serious, it will cause damage to the organs and system functions of the human body. It can also lead to the occurrence of various diseases, such as various tumors, premature aging of the body, leukemia, etc. Many people have difficulty getting pregnant because of electromagnetic radiation, so everyone must pay great attention to the hazards of electromagnetic radiation.

One of the hazards

It is very likely one of the causes of leukemia in children. Medical research has shown that long-term exposure to high electromagnetic radiation can cause changes in the blood, lymph and cell protoplasm. After research, Italian experts believe that more than 400 children in the country suffer from leukemia every year, and the main reason is that they are too close to high-voltage power lines and are thus exposed to serious electromagnetic pollution.

The second hazard

It can induce cancer and accelerate the proliferation of cancer cells in the human body. Electromagnetic radiation pollution can affect the human body’s circulatory system, immunity, reproduction and metabolic functions. In severe cases, it can induce cancer and accelerate the proliferation of cancer cells in the human body. Swiss research data shows that the probability of breast cancer among residents living near high-voltage lines is 7.4 times higher than that of the average person. The results of random tests conducted by the Texas Cancer Medical Foundation on patients who suffered electromagnetic radiation damage showed that the cancer cells of workers working near high-voltage lines grow 24 times faster than those of ordinary people.

Hazard 3

It affects the human reproductive system, mainly manifesting as decreased sperm quality in men, spontaneous abortion and fetal malformations in pregnant women, etc.

Hazard 4

Can cause intellectual disability in children. According to the latest survey, among the 20 million children born in my country each year, 350,000 are defective children, of which 250,000 are mentally retarded. Some experts believe that electromagnetic radiation is also one of the influencing factors. The World Health Organization believes that electromagnetic radiation from computers, televisions and mobile phones has adverse effects on the fetus.

Hazard 5

It affects people's cardiovascular system, manifesting as palpitations, insomnia, menstrual disorders in some women, bradycardia, decreased cardiac blood volume, sinus arrhythmia, leukopenia, decreased immune function, etc. If a patient with a pacemaker is in an environment with high electromagnetic radiation, it will affect the normal use of the pacemaker.

Hazard 6

It has adverse effects on people's visual system. Since the eyes are the most sensitive organs in the human body to electromagnetic radiation, excessive electromagnetic radiation pollution can cause vision loss, cataracts, etc. High doses of electromagnetic radiation can also affect and destroy the body's original bioelectric current and biomagnetic field, causing abnormalities in the body's original electromagnetic field. It is worth noting that different people or the same person at different ages have different tolerance to electromagnetic radiation. The elderly, children and pregnant women are sensitive to electromagnetic radiation.

Learn to protect against radiation

There are five types of people who should pay special attention to electromagnetic radiation pollution: people who live and work near high-voltage lines, substations, radio stations, television stations, radar stations, and electromagnetic wave transmission towers; people who frequently use computers, television electronic instruments, medical equipment, and office automation equipment; workers living in a modern electrical automation environment; patients wearing pacemakers; pregnant women, children, the elderly, and patients living in the above environments, etc. If the electromagnetic radiation pollution in the living environment is relatively high, the public must take corresponding protective measures.

Do not place household appliances too close together to avoid exposing yourself to the risk of excessive radiation. In particular, some household appliances that are easy to generate electromagnetic waves, such as radios, televisions, computers, refrigerators, etc. should not be placed in the bedroom.

Various household appliances, office equipment, mobile phones, etc. should be avoided from being operated for long periods of time, and try to avoid using multiple office and household appliances at the same time. The electromagnetic radiation released by a mobile phone is the greatest when it is turned on. When using it, you should try to keep your head as far away from the mobile phone antenna as possible. It is best to use separate headphones and microphone to answer calls.

Pay attention to the distance between the human body and office and household appliances. When using various electrical appliances, a certain safe distance should be maintained. The farther away from the appliance, the less damage caused by electromagnetic waves. For example, the distance between color TV and people should be 4 to 5 meters, the distance between color TV and fluorescent tubes should be 2 to 3 meters, and microwave ovens should be kept at least 1 meter away after being turned on. Pregnant women and children should stay away from microwave ovens as much as possible.

Units and individuals with the conditions can equip themselves with anti-radiation clothing, anti-radiation screens for computers and televisions, anti-radiation curtains, anti-radiation glass and other measures to reduce electromagnetic radiation. Based on the concept of "more protection, less harm", it is better to believe it exists than not to believe it exists, so as to ensure that there is work to avoid trouble.

Everyone knows the hazards of electromagnetic radiation, so in daily life we should try our best to avoid contact with things with high electromagnetic radiation, especially children and pregnant women. We should refuse electromagnetic radiation and not pick up unknown objects casually to avoid causing harm to the body.
