How to take care of your fingernails

Fingernails are something that each of us needs every day. They are also the things that we come into contact with the most every day, and they are also things that we see every day. So how should we protect something that is so intimate to us? Does anyone know anything about this issue? Some friends will put some oil or something like that on their nails, saying that it has a protective effect on the nails. Alas, these things are not protecting us, but affecting our normal activities. Now, I will explain this issue to you in detail.

Whether nails are good or bad can reflect whether a person is healthy. Dull and cracked nails are manifestations of vitamin A, vitamin B, and vitamin D deficiency. Bad habits can also cause dry, cracked, and dull nails. An unbalanced diet, frequently sharpening nails with a nail scissors, biting nails with teeth, or soaking hands in water for a long time due to work can make nails brittle.

So, how should we take care of our nails?

Tools/Raw Materials

Nail clippers, nail scissors, nutritional oil, nail polish, etc.

Steps/Methods

1. Trim your nails regularly to prevent dirt from accumulating under the nails and ruining the beauty of your hands. If you grow your nails, you should rub the edges of your nails until they are smooth and trim them into an oval shape. Nails that are too pointed will weaken their toughness and make them easy to break. The nails should be trimmed when they become soft after bathing. The nails should be trimmed until they are no longer visible when the palm is facing up. Then use a file to gently round them from both sides toward the middle, remove the corns, and finally apply nourishing oil to the base of the nails.

2. Avoid artificial nails. As the entire production process of simulated nails is relatively complicated, if the instruments are not thoroughly sterilized during the production process, the nails may be infected with bacteria and viruses. In addition, some artificial nail materials may cause allergic reactions to natural nails. Not only that, long-term sticking of artificial nails will also affect the normal water exchange and growth of natural nails, making the nails thinner and weakened. Therefore, from the perspective of hand protection and health, it is better to avoid using simulated nails.

3 If the nail cuticle has shrunk or disappeared, soak it in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes every day, gently dry it with a hot towel, and then massage from the end close to the body to the far end to allow the nail cuticle to grow again. In addition, you can use maintenance cream to apply to the nail cuticle to reduce cracking and peeling.

4 Choose nail polish or polish that does not contain formaldehyde or acetone, and replace it with products containing acetate. It is best not to use it more than once a week, and the nail polish should not stay on the nails for more than 5 days.

5 For injured or cracked nails, you can apply nail repair cream sold on the market once every other day. Nail repair creams containing fruit acids or phospholipids are preferred.

6. To protect your nails, you also need a balanced diet, supplement with animal protein foods containing vitamin A, vitamin B, and vitamin D, and change the bad habit of picky eating.

Precautions

Don't apply too thick a layer of nail polish each time, otherwise it will damage your nails.

Try to minimize direct contact between your nails and objects, or use your nails as tools. Use your fingernails instead of your nails to reduce the chance of injuring your nails.

Keep your hands dry. In dry conditions, germs are less likely to grow and the chance of infection will be reduced.

Reduce contact with various irritants, such as soap, organic solvents, etc. If contact with irritants is necessary, wear protective gloves if possible.

When you remove the loose hanging skin under your nails, it's a good idea to apply fresh lemon juice, petroleum jelly, or vitamin E oil to the area.

Have you learned it? Will you continue to use that protective oil? Let’s say goodbye to this harmful item as soon as possible. Let’s stay away from these things that harm our health and try the methods I taught you.
