How to dismantle an air conditioner

How to disassemble an air conditioner

First, you need materials such as plastic sheeting, a level, and soapy water.

Then we officially start. First, collect the fluorine. Turn on the machine for refrigeration. After the compressor starts working, close the high-pressure valve and run it for one minute. Then close the low-pressure valve and shut down the machine. Unplug the power plug; second, disassemble the copper pipe joint of the outdoor unit (wrap it with plastic cloth to prevent soil from entering), and disassemble the wire joint of the outdoor unit (remember the order of the wires); third, drill the wall hole for the pipe according to the position of the indoor unit, nail the hanging plate of the indoor unit at the predetermined position (it must be level and calibrated with a spirit level), pass the pipe through and hang the indoor unit; fourth, determine the position of the outdoor unit according to the length of the pipe, and the outdoor unit must also be level; fifth, connect the high and low pressure pipes, open the high pressure valve first, then loosen the low pressure pipe lock nut (to exhaust the air in the pipe), tighten the lock nut after hearing the sound of exhaust for 8 to 10 seconds, open the low pressure valve, and connect the wires in order; sixth, turn on the power and test the machine. Use soapy water to check whether there is any leakage at the pipe joint (lock nut).

In addition to these, it must be noted that the copper tubes of old air conditioners have poor toughness and are easily bent into dead bends; the inner and outer machines must be level and firm, otherwise there will be loud noise; and there must be no leakage.
