The difference between essence and perfume

The difference between essence and perfume

Many people think that fragrance is perfume, but it is not. There is a big difference between essence and perfume. Although the name makes people feel that they are the same item, the two items are essentially different. Simply put, essence is an important material for perfume and is indispensable for making perfume. So the relationship between the two is relatively close, but they are not the same item.

We cannot connect these two items together in our lives. In addition to making perfume, essence can also be used to make other things. Perfume is a finished product, while essence is a raw material, so the range of uses of the raw materials is relatively wide.

Many people often mistake essence for perfume, but in fact, there are essential differences between the two. So what is the difference between essence and perfume? Essence and perfume are two concepts. Essence is an important raw material for making perfume. Generally speaking, the relationship between the two is like that between alcohol and wine. Most of the fragrances on the market come from ancient Egypt. 80% of the fragrances produced in Egypt are exported to France for use in making French perfumes. It can be said that without Egyptian fragrances as raw materials, French perfumes would probably not be so fragrant and so famous. Apart from this, flavors are widely used in various fields, such as industry.

Parfum: 0-5% distilled water, 80% alcohol, concentration is 15~25%, the fragrance lasts for 5~7 hours, suitable for night out, banquets and formal occasions.

Perfume (eau de Parfum): 5-10% distilled water and 80% alcohol, the concentration is 10~15%. The fragrance lasts for about 5 hours, which is suitable for daytime banquets or going out.

The way to preserve perfume is: after using it every day, put the cover back into the box and then put it in a drawer where it cannot be exposed to sunlight. To prevent perfume from producing drastic temperature changes, perfume that is not used for a short period of time can be wrapped in plastic wrap and placed in a refrigerator with small temperature changes to avoid being affected by food. As for those that have not been opened, they should be carefully stored in a cool place where they are not exposed to direct sunlight and where temperature changes are small to avoid waste.

The above introduces the differences between essences and perfumes. I hope that after reading this, you will have a clear understanding of the relationship between the two. When it comes to flavors and perfumes, don't confuse the two. Perfume is an item we often use in our daily lives, but we rarely come into contact with essences.
