The Moldova grape variety was bred by MS Juraveli and IP Gavrilov from the Republic of Moldova. The hybrid parents are GuzaliKala×SV12375. It was introduced to China from Romania in 1997. Moldovan grapes are suitable for raw consumption, winemaking, courtyards, potted plants, promenades, parks, etc. They can also be used as rootstocks. They are truly multifunctional grapes and the most widely used grapes to date.

The Moldova grape variety was bred by MS Juraveli and IPGavrilov from the Republic of Moldova. The hybrid parents are Guzali Kala × SV12375. It was introduced to China from Romania in 1997 and to Chongqing in 2004. After four years of cultivation observation and production demonstration, it was shown that the variety is highly resistant to downy mildew, extremely high-yielding, late-maturing, storable, and beautiful in appearance, with good development prospects and market potential.

The young shoots are green to yellow-green, with dark red longitudinal stripes on the young stems and densely covered with hairs. The young leaves are green with dark red edges, and are densely hairy on both the front and back of the leaves. Mature leaves are green, nearly round, medium to large, with rolled-up leaf margins, entire or 3-lobed, shallowly notched, glabrous on the leaf surface, sparsely pubescent on the back, and large, sharp serrations on the leaf margins. The petiole is purple-red, shorter than the midrib, and the petiole pit is closed into an oval shape. One-year-old mature branches are dark brown, with long internodes and full and large winter buds. Bisexual flowers.
