What should I do if my humidifier stops spraying?

If the humidifier is used for a long time without paying attention to its maintenance and cleaning, it will easily cause the calcium and magnesium ions in the water to deposit inside the humidifier. This will have a great impact on the humidifier, so its spray will be affected. In severe cases, it will cause the humidifier to stop spraying.

1. The first thing to do if the humidifier does not spray: If the humidifier does not spray or emit air, it may be because you do not clean and maintain it regularly. Generally speaking, the cleaning and maintenance cycle of a humidifier is about one week. Treatment method: Use the special cleaning agent provided to clean the sink, transducer (oscillator) and water tank, then add water and it can be used. Note that it is best to add cold boiled water for the first time after cleaning, otherwise the calcium in the water will condense on the ultrasonic generator.

2. The second trick to solve the problem of humidifier not spraying: recognize the misunderstanding. The mainstream humidifiers now include ultrasonic humidifiers and purification humidifiers. Ultrasonic humidifiers use ultrasonic high-frequency vibrations to atomize water into ultra-fine particles of 1-5 microns, which are then sprayed out through a pneumatic device and evenly diffused into the air, thus achieving a humidification effect. This type of humidifier sprays out water mist.

3. The humidifier does not spray the third trick: There are two conditions for the humidifier to work: 1. The ceramic oscillator vibrates and produces water mist. 2. The fan rotates to send out the water mist. If it works but no water mist is sprayed out, it is due to improper operation and the fan has failed. Solution: If it is stuck due to not being used for a long time, add some lubricating oil and tap it gently to try. If it doesn’t work, ask after-sales service to check it out.

4. The fourth trick to solve the problem of humidifier not spraying: the humidifier has wind but no mist, and if tap water is used for a long time, the remaining scale will cause alkaline to form on the oscillation plate, making it unable to operate normally, and naturally the mist will be less or cannot be sprayed out. Treatment method: Use household white vinegar and add a little salt to effectively dissolve the alkali, and the mist will slowly spray out again. Be careful not to use strong acids, as this is not conducive to maintenance and poses a safety hazard.

5. The fifth reason why the humidifier does not spray: there is a problem with the humidifier atomizer. Solution: Open the bottom cover and check if the fuse is burned out. If the fuse is good, try to adjust the potentiometer on the circuit board. Turn it a quarter of a turn clockwise and try again. If it still does not spray, replace the atomizer. It is a "metal" disc with a diameter of about 20-30 mm directly below the nozzle. This is the transducer. Do not scrape it with hard objects when handling it.
