When treating this type of disease, it is also important to pay attention to the choice of method. Its treatment cannot be arbitrarily selected from some treatment methods.

So how should hypochondriasis be treated specifically? Generally, drug treatment is the best option. This treatment method can stabilize the patient's disease well, and it is also easier to choose this treatment method.

Hypochondriasis:

Hypochondriasis, also known as hypochondriacal neurosis, mainly refers to the persistent preoccupation of patients with this disease who worry or believe that they have one or more serious physical diseases. Patients complain of physical symptoms and repeatedly seek medical treatment. Although repeated medical examinations are negative and the doctor's explanation that there is no evidence of the corresponding disease cannot dispel the patient's concerns, it is often accompanied by anxiety or depression. Suspicion or preoccupation with body deformity also belongs to this syndrome. This disease is relatively rare. According to an epidemiological survey of neurosis in 12 regions across the country, its total prevalence rate is only 0.15‰. A survey conducted by the Department of Psychiatry of West China University of Medical Sciences in a county hospital outpatient clinic found that this disease accounted for 9.0% of neurosis. However, in an analysis of 500 consecutive cases in the psychiatric outpatient clinic, only 1 case was found in neurosis. The difference is very large. According to foreign statistics, this disease accounts for 1% of the total number of inpatients. There is no difference between the two sexes. The age of onset is mostly 40 years old for males and around 50 years old for females. It is not uncommon for the elderly.

Through the above introduction, we have some understanding of hypochondriasis. The occurrence of such a disease has serious impacts on all aspects of the human body, and such a disease will also cause other problems in the patient's body. Therefore, in the treatment of such a disease, the patient must actively cooperate to facilitate the improvement of the disease.
