Will insufficient qi and blood cause chest tightness?

Will insufficient qi and blood cause chest tightness?

Insufficiency of Qi and blood can occur in both the elderly and the young. It can cause symptoms such as pale complexion, cold limbs, loss of appetite, etc. Although insufficiency of Qi and blood will not cause much harm to physical health in a short period of time, it will induce many chronic diseases over time. Sometimes insufficiency of Qi and blood can also cause symptoms of chest tightness, which is very harmful to daily life.

Can insufficient blood cause chest tightness?

Patients with insufficient qi and blood are prone to symptoms of chest tightness. The reason why symptoms of chest tightness occur is that the heart does not get enough blood supply, which causes the heart to be deprived of oxygen, resulting in uncomfortable symptoms such as palpitations and chest tightness. Therefore, chest tightness is also a common symptom of insufficient qi and blood.

Diet

For middle-aged and elderly friends with insufficient Qi and blood, it may be helpful to regulate the body through diet. It is recommended to eat more Qi and blood replenishing foods in daily diet to improve the symptoms of insufficient Qi and blood. Common foods that replenish qi and blood include red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, spinach, pork liver, lean meat, wolfberry, peanuts, grapes, etc.

Sports conditioning

In addition to dietary adjustments, exercise should be used to regulate the symptoms of insufficient qi and blood, because exercise can promote blood circulation, so that all parts of the body can get sufficient blood flow, thereby improving the symptoms of insufficient qi and blood.

Improve sleep

People who have poor sleep are also prone to insufficient qi and blood, because poor sleep has a great impact on the internal organs and can easily lead to neurasthenia. Over time, it will make the body weaker. Therefore, improving sleep can also relieve the symptoms of insufficient qi and blood.

Symptoms of Qi and Blood Deficiency

1. Look at the eyes: As the saying goes, "People grow old and their eyes turn yellow", what it actually means is that the color of the whites of the eyes becomes turbid, yellow, and bloodshot, which indicates a lack of Qi and blood. Large eye bags, dry eyes, and heavy eyelids all indicate insufficient energy and blood.

2. Look at the skin: If the skin is white with a hint of pink, shiny, elastic, without wrinkles or spots, it means that the Qi and blood are sufficient. On the contrary, rough, dull, dark, yellow, white, blue, red, and spotted skin all indicate poor physical condition and insufficient Qi and blood.

3. Look at the hair: black, thick and smooth hair means sufficient Qi and blood; dry, falling, yellow, white and split hair means insufficient Qi and blood.

4. Look at the ears: If the ears are light pink, shiny, spotless, wrinkle-free, and plump, it means that the Qi and blood are sufficient. Dullness and lack of luster indicate that the Qi and blood have declined. If the ears are shrunken, dull, spotted, and wrinkled, it means that a person's kidney function is beginning to fail.

5. Touch the temperature of the hands: If the hands are warm all year round, it means that the person has sufficient Qi and blood. If the palms are hot or sweaty, it means that the person has insufficient Qi and blood.

6. Look at the finger pads: Whether it is a child or an adult, if the finger pads are flat, weak or the fingertips are thin, it means that the Qi and blood are insufficient; if the finger pads are plump, the flesh is elastic, it means that the Qi and blood are sufficient.
