Can a three-month-old baby be taught to urinate?

For the sake of convenience, parents nowadays like to use diapers for their babies, so that they can save the process of holding their babies to pee. However, in many families, parents do not like to use diapers. When they feel that the baby needs to urinate, they will choose to hold the baby to pee. Here we must remind everyone that the bones of babies are relatively fragile, and the action of holding the baby to pee may cause harm. Therefore, very young babies cannot be held to pee. Then, can a three-month-old baby be held to pee?

Can a three-month-old baby be taught to urinate?

It is not recommended to hold a three-month-old baby to pee, as this may cause poor development of the baby's cervical vertebrae or spine. You can wait until the baby is one and a half years old to train the baby to go to the toilet by himself.

When the baby is three months old, the muscles in the baby's cervical spine are strong enough to lift his head independently. At this time, if the mother holds the baby to urinate, the baby's head will not droop down and injure the cervical vertebrae. Therefore, if you want to hold your baby to pee, you can wait until the baby is over three months old. Grab your baby's thighs with both hands and let the baby's body and head lean against your body so that you can help him urinate.

Relatively speaking, between the ages of 1.5 and 2, the baby's psychological and physiological organs gradually mature. For example, the baby's bladder has the ability to control and has the foundation for urination and defecation training. The baby can understand and cooperate with the mother's holding posture and verbal prompts (such as peeing, peeing, etc.). The mother can hold the baby to pee and demonstrate when appropriate.

Parents generally believe that good habits should be established for babies from an early age. Holding the baby to pee can also save money on diapers. Therefore, it is worthwhile to interrupt the baby's sleep in the middle of the night and hold the baby to pee. Foreign parents are more willing to let nature take its course and let their babies grow out of diapers naturally. So, is it okay to hold your baby to pee?

In fact, both approaches make sense. On the one hand, holding the baby to urinate is a natural way. After a period of practice, mothers will find that holding the baby to urinate is convenient, effective, environmentally friendly, and saves resources. On the other hand, the physical and psychological development of infants is not mature enough, and they cannot consciously control their bowel movements. Holding the baby to urinate is equivalent to parents imposing their will on the baby. Therefore, as parents, we have the power to decide either path.

The core technology of diapers is the "core". From a technical perspective, the diaper core has undergone three revolutions to date: the first was the birth of disposable diapers half a century ago; the second was the application of polymer absorbent materials in diapers in the 1980s, which fully guaranteed the product's liquid absorption performance. The second-generation core is commonly used by mainstream brands on the market. However, this type of traditional core still has certain technical limitations in terms of absorption speed, anti-reverse osmosis degree, thickness and core strength, so that problems such as baby's diaper rash and reverse osmosis leakage have not been fully solved.

Diaper manufacturers at home and abroad are stepping up the research and development of a diaper that is lighter, thinner, has better liquid absorption performance and a drier surface, and some semi-mature products are constantly being launched on the market. It was not until the second half of 2012 that the E-core phased diaper series was launched, announcing that the third core technology innovation had entered the mature application stage. This type of core has higher absorption efficiency and stronger toughness, and comprehensively solves all major problems of traditional second-generation cores. Some commentators said that the advent of the "E-core" technology symbolizes that the development of the diaper industry has entered a new era. This is the first time that Chinese companies have taken the lead in the technology competition in the entire industry since diapers were invented in the West.
