Be careful when eating these six foods that cause infertility!

In today's society, due to environmental pollution and the influence of social factors, the phenomenon of male infertility and female infertility is becoming more and more serious. The cause of this situation is also related to eating habits. The following six foods can induce infertility.

1. Coffee

Researchers from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in the United States studied 104 women who wanted to get pregnant and concluded that coffee has a direct impact on conception. Among these women, those who drank more than one cup of coffee a day were only half as likely to get pregnant as those who did not drink this beverage. Therefore, they suggest that women should drink less coffee if they are planning to become pregnant. It should be noted that the nutrients in foods such as coffee, carrots, and sunflower seeds are essential to the human body. This article only limits the amount of food consumed, while grilled beef, mutton, cottonseed oil, etc. should be included in the fasting range.

2. Carrots

Carrots are rich in carotene, multiple vitamins and other nutrients that are beneficial to the human body. Gynecologists at Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey, USA, found that when women eat too many carrots, the large amount of carotene they ingest can cause amenorrhea and inhibit the normal ovulation function of the ovaries. Therefore, women who want to have children should not eat too many carrots.

3. Sunflower seeds

The protein in sunflower seeds contains testicular inhibition components, which can cause testicular atrophy and affect normal reproductive function. Therefore, young people of childbearing age should not eat too much.

4. Roast beef and mutton

Eating roasted beef and mutton is a habit of residents in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other places. Some people have found that a few women who love to eat roasted mutton gave birth to children with mental retardation, paralysis or deformity. After investigation and modern medical research, it was found that these women and their deformed babies were all victims of Toxoplasma gondii infection. People can often become infected when they come into contact with toxoplasmosis-infected livestock and poultry and eat undercooked meat from these animals and poultry.

5. Cottonseed oil

Long-term consumption of cottonseed oil can cause people to suffer from sun disease, the symptoms of which include attacks after sun exposure, general weakness or lack of sweat, burning and flushing of the skin, palpitations and shortness of breath, dizziness, numbness of the limbs, and loss of appetite. A more serious effect is damage to the reproductive system. Experimental studies have shown that when rats consume feed containing cottonseed oil for about four months, their testicles are significantly smaller, sperm cells are significantly reduced or even disappear, the uterus is smaller, the endometrium and glands atrophy, the ovaries are slightly atrophied, and the renal parenchymal cells are slightly swollen. If an adult male takes gossypol, an extract of cottonseed oil, for 40 days, 60-70 mg per day, all sperm will be killed in a short period of time and gradually disappear from the semen; for women, it may cause amenorrhea or uterine atrophy. Therefore, young people of childbearing age should not consume it for a long time.

6. Alcohol

Scientific research has shown that the main component of alcohol is ethanol, which can increase the concentration of catecholamines in the body, cause vascular spasms, testicular underdevelopment, and even testicular atrophy. The spermatogenesis function will undergo structural changes, and the secretion of male hormones such as testosterone will be insufficient, resulting in feminine manifestations such as a thinning voice and enlarged breasts. This type of person is prone to male infertility, and even if they do have children, there is a greater possibility that the next generation will be deformed. In women, it may cause irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, mutated egg production, loss of sexual desire or cessation of ovulation.
