What causes early symptoms of breast cancer

The appearance of early symptoms of breast cancer may be related to genetics, environmental factors, physiological factors, trauma and pathological changes. Genetic factors such as BRCA1/BRCA2 gene mutations, environmental factors such as long-term exposure to harmful chemicals, physiological factors such as abnormal hormone levels, trauma such as chest trauma, and pathological changes such as breast hyperplasia can all lead to early symptoms of breast cancer. In terms of treatment, early detection can be intervened through drug treatment, surgical treatment and lifestyle adjustments.

1. Genetic factors

Genetic susceptibility to breast cancer is one of the important reasons. BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutations are known high-risk factors, and women who carry these gene mutations have a significantly increased chance of developing breast cancer. People with a family history of breast cancer should undergo regular genetic testing and breast screening for early detection and treatment.

2. Environmental factors

Long-term exposure to harmful chemicals such as benzene, formaldehyde, etc. or radiation environments may increase the risk of breast cancer. Occupational exposure or pollutants in the living environment need to be taken seriously. Reducing exposure to harmful substances and improving the living environment are important preventive measures.

3. Physiological factors

Abnormal hormone levels are a common cause of breast cancer. Long-term high levels of estrogen and progesterone may stimulate abnormal breast cell proliferation. Women who have early menarche, late menopause, and nulliparity or late childbearing are at higher risk. Adjusting your diet, reducing high-fat food intake, and maintaining a healthy weight can help reduce your risk.

4. Trauma

Chest trauma may cause damage to breast tissue and increase the possibility of abnormal cell proliferation. Although the probability of trauma directly causing breast cancer is low, long-term unhealed trauma may become a trigger. Timely treatment of chest trauma to avoid infection and inflammation is the key.

5. Pathological changes

Benign lesions such as breast hyperplasia and breast fibroids may develop into breast cancer. Regular breast examinations and timely treatment of abnormalities can effectively reduce the risk of cancer. For high-risk groups, it is recommended to have a breast ultrasound or mammography examination once a year.

Treatment:

Drug therapy: such as tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors, etc., for adjuvant treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.

Surgical treatment: including partial mastectomy, total mastectomy and lymph node dissection. The appropriate surgical method will be selected according to the condition.

Lifestyle adjustments: Maintaining a healthy diet such as eating more vegetables and fruits, reducing red meat intake, exercising moderately such as 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week, quitting smoking and limiting alcohol consumption can help reduce the risk of recurrence.

The detection and treatment of early symptoms of breast cancer are crucial. By understanding the cause, regular screening, and timely intervention, the risk of breast cancer occurrence and development can be effectively reduced. It is recommended that high-risk groups and those with related symptoms seek medical attention as soon as possible to receive professional diagnosis and treatment.
