The most obvious early symptom of lymphoma is swollen lymph nodes

Lymphoma, also known as lymphoma, is a malignant tumor originating from lymph nodes or other lymphatic tissues. It is one of the top ten common malignant tumors in China. The disease is more common in young and middle-aged people, and there are more male patients than female patients. Are the early symptoms of lymphoma easy to detect? Swollen lymph nodes are the main symptom that cannot be ignored.

Swollen lymph nodes are the main feature of lymphoma.

Experts say that about 60% of lymphomas are first found in swollen lymph nodes in the neck. At first, only one swollen node is found, but the number gradually increases and the size increases. Lymphoma can occur in lymphatic tissues throughout the body, such as the chin, jaw, front neck, clavicle, armpit, groin, mediastinum or abdominal artery. Sometimes it occurs in internal organs and causes compression symptoms. If it occurs in the stomach, small intestine or large intestine, there may be symptoms of peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal dysfunction such as abdominal distension, blood in the stool, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc. If lymphoma invades the bone marrow, it may cause pancytopenia such as pale face, fever, abnormal bleeding, and sometimes abnormal lymphocytes can be seen in the peripheral blood.

Lymph node enlargement: including superficial and deep lymph nodes, which are characterized by progressive, painless, hard, and movable enlargement of lymph nodes. In the early stage, they are not adhered to each other, but in the late stage, they can fuse. Anti-inflammatory and anti-tuberculosis treatments are ineffective. Superficial lymph nodes are more common in the neck, followed by the armpits and groin. Deep lymph nodes are more common in the mediastinum and beside the abdominal aorta.

Local compression symptoms caused by lymph node enlargement: mainly refers to deep lymph nodes, such as mediastinal lymph node enlargement. Esophageal compression can cause dysphagia; superior vena cava compression causes superior vena cava syndrome; tracheal compression causes cough, chest tightness, dyspnea and cyanosis.

The early symptoms of lymphoma are similar to those of other malignant tumors. The early symptoms are not obvious and are easily ignored by patients. Once patients find that their lymph nodes are swollen, they should actively treat the pain or painlessness. Strive for early detection and treatment.
