Will cervical erosion turn into cervical cancer?

Cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease with a long course and easy recurrence. The main clinical manifestations are excessive yellow leucorrhea and bleeding after intercourse. Conservative treatment of cervical erosion is recommended, including physical therapy before childbirth and suppositories. Under the influence of chronic cervicitis and other factors, the squamous epithelium of the cervix and vagina will necrotize and fall off, and be replaced by the single columnar epithelium of the endocervical canal, forming the so-called cervical erosion. There are two types of cervical erosion: physiological cervical erosion and pathological cervical erosion. Physiological cervical erosion will not transform into cervical cancer, but pathological cervical erosion may have precancerous lesions of cervical cancer.
