What is the use of nasopharyngeal carcinoma metastatic nuclide and how to treat nasopharyngeal carcinoma

What is the use of radionuclides for nasopharyngeal carcinoma bone metastasis? How to treat nasopharyngeal carcinoma?

1. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma bone metastasis radionuclide is used to explore the characteristics and regularities of nasopharyngeal carcinoma bone metastasis imaging. Methods: 61 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma were selected for whole-body bone radionuclide imaging.

2. The incidence of bone metastasis is 56% (115/204). The influence of cervical lymph node metastasis on nasopharyngeal carcinoma bone metastasis was analyzed for different clinical stages. The incidence of bone metastasis increases with the progression of the disease. Non-cervical lymph node metastasis is related to the time of bone metastasis, but not to the probability of bone metastasis. The most common sites of bone metastasis are ribs, followed by spine, pelvis, limbs, scapula, skull, multiple bone metastasis, 79% (91/115), single-point bone metastasis, 21% (24/115), and the average number of lesions per case is 4.4. Whole-body bone scintigraphy of metastasis radionuclides is very important for the staging and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

3. To treat nasopharyngeal carcinoma, radiotherapy is generally chosen. Conventional radiotherapy has many complications, so three-dimensional conformal or intensity-modulated radiotherapy is recommended. The total irradiation dose to the nasopharynx is 66-70Gy/6.5-7 weeks. The radical dose for patients with positive cervical lymph nodes is 56-60Gy, and the preventive dose for patients with negative cervical lymph nodes is 46-50Gy. During radiotherapy, chemotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine and immunotherapy can be used to improve the efficacy. For some patients with advanced disease and recurrence after radiotherapy, as well as a few adenocarcinomas that are less sensitive to radiation and well-differentiated squamous cell carcinomas, comprehensive treatment methods such as chemotherapy and surgery can be used.
