Is breast cancer hereditary?

Is breast cancer hereditary?

Breast cancer can be inherited, but not all breast cancer patients will pass it on to their offspring. Only a small number of breast cancers, such as triple-negative breast cancer and breast cancer with lymph node metastasis, can be passed on to their offspring. If there are multiple people in the family who have breast cancer and are under 40 or 50 years old or the next generation, they should actively go to the hospital for relevant family genetic counseling.

What are the early symptoms of breast cancer?

Breast cancer has no early symptoms. It can only be found during a physical examination. In places with backward medical conditions, it is often discovered through metastatic symptoms. For example, if there is a large lump in the breast, bloody discharge from the nipple, obvious depression, breast skin ulceration, or even local bone pain in the body, people will come to the hospital for treatment. Therefore, there are no characteristic manifestations of breast cancer in the early stage.

Is chemotherapy necessary for breast cancer?

Most breast cancers do not require chemotherapy, but those with lymph node metastasis, triple-negative breast cancer, and Her-2 positive breast cancer need chemotherapy. However, some people have large tumors and are willing to preserve their breasts, so they can also undergo some chemotherapy to reduce breast tumors, lower the stage of breast cancer, and complete breast-conserving surgery. These people need chemotherapy.

What should you pay attention to if you have breast cancer?

Breast cancer treatments are quite extensive, and the entire treatment period is also very long, and many drugs are used, so you need to pay attention to all aspects of your daily life. During the treatment process, the patient's resistance is weak, and the diet should be clean, and tobacco, alcohol, raw, cold, and spicy foods should be avoided. Wear a mask when going out or contacting many people, and keep the humidity and temperature appropriate to reduce the chance of respiratory infection.
