How to treat nasopharyngeal cancer? What are the methods?

When nasopharyngeal carcinoma is first diagnosed, about 70% of patients have headache symptoms. The main manifestations are migraine, pain in the occipital area or the neck. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma headaches are mostly related to cancer tissue invading the bones, nerves and blood vessels at the base of the skull. In addition, tinnitus, stuffy ears and hearing loss are also early signs of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. This symptom is caused by the nasopharyngeal carcinoma neoplasm blocking the Eustachian tube opening on the affected side. Hearing loss may also be caused by further deterioration of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and damage to the auditory nerve.

To treat nasopharyngeal cancer, you can try the following methods:

1. Radiotherapy Radiotherapy is the first choice for the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Cobalt-60 radiotherapy is superior to deep X-ray irradiation and can also be used in combination with intracavitary radium therapy. Radiotherapy has a more direct killing effect on cancer cells, but the adverse reactions are relatively large and will cause damage to normal cells.

2. Combined chemotherapy Chemotherapy can be used in conjunction with radiotherapy, or for palliative treatment of patients with advanced distant metastasis or recurrence after radiotherapy. Commonly used drugs include cisplatin, carboplatin, cyclophosphamide, bleomycin, 5-fluorouracil, etc. The effect is better than radiotherapy or chemotherapy alone.

3. CLS biological multi-cell therapy. CLS biological multi-cell therapy is an important supplement to cancer cells that cannot be completely eliminated by surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It has a significant killing effect on tumor stem cells and other tumor cells in the non-proliferative stage. CLS biological multi-cell therapy can eliminate tiny residual lesions that cannot be eliminated by surgery, and can kill dormant tumor cells that cannot be killed by chemotherapy drugs.
