What acupuncture point is between the eyebrows

Working on acupuncture points on the human body is a very common treatment method in traditional Chinese medicine. Many people probably have the habit of pressing their eyebrows when they are tired. This is because there is an acupuncture point in the middle of people's eyebrows. By pressing and kneading this acupuncture point, people can effectively restore their energy and relieve fatigue. This acupoint needs people to understand it in detail in order to better play its role. Let's take a detailed look at what acupoint is in the middle of the eyebrows?

The acupoint between the eyebrows is called "Yintang Point". Yintang point is one of the extra meridian points, located on the face of the human body, at the midpoint of the line connecting the two eyebrows. The main functions recognized by traditional Chinese medicine are clearing the head and eyes, and opening the nasal passages. The Yintang point is located on the face of the human body, at the midpoint of the line connecting the two eyebrows. The procerus muscle contains the supratrochlear nerve, a branch of the frontal nerve, and the frontal artery, a branch of the ophthalmic artery, and the accompanying vein.

Daily Health

Yintang acupoint is an extraordinary acupoint outside the meridians of the human body. It is also listed as one of the “rejuvenation methods” in “Dharma’s Secret Skills”, which shows its importance. The Shenting point belongs to the Du meridian of the human body and has a therapeutic effect on the nervous system. Pressing these two acupoints has the same effect in eliminating headaches and dizziness and restoring brain vitality. Massaging at the same time will complement each other and the effect will be better. The Yintang point is located in the middle of the line connecting the two eyebrows. When massaging, place your middle finger on the Yintang point and press it 10 times with strong force. Then rub clockwise for 20-30 circles and counterclockwise for 20-30 circles. The Shenting point is above the Yintang point, about half an inch directly above the center of the hairline. The massage method is the same as that for the Yintang point. Use the tips of your thumb, index finger and middle finger to press the "Yintang" point (between the eyebrows) 12 times. You can also use the middle fingers of both hands to massage the "Yintang" point alternately, left and right. This method can enhance the proliferation ability of nasal mucosal epithelial cells and stimulate olfactory cells to make the sense of smell more sensitive. It can also prevent colds and respiratory diseases.

Traditional Chinese medicine introduced a method of "rubbing acupoints to treat rhinitis". After following this treatment method, the chronic rhinitis that had troubled me for many years was basically cured. After that, keep rubbing the relevant acupoints every day. After persisting for many years, not only has my chronic rhinitis never recurred, but I also rarely catch colds. The method of "rubbing acupoints to treat rhinitis" is:

1. Use the outer sides of both index fingers to rub the two sides of the bridge of nose back and forth for a total of 200 times, until the bridge of nose feels warm.

2. Use the tips of your index fingers to rub the "Yingxiang" acupoints on both sides of the nostrils for a total of 200 times. The "Yingxiang" point is located in the small depression on the side of the root of the nose.

3. Use the thumb and index finger of your left hand to rub the "Hegu" point on your right hand up and down 200 times, and then use the thumb and index finger of your right hand to rub the "Hegu" point on your left hand up and down 200 times. The Hegu point is located in the depression where the thumb and index finger fork.

It is important to remind you that you must persist in doing this for a long time, and once rhinitis is cured, you must continue to do it. This not only prevents the recurrence of rhinitis, but also prevents colds. The kneading technique should be heavy, but just enough to be bearable.
