Symptoms of pelvic metastasis of ovarian cancer

Symptoms of pelvic metastasis of ovarian cancer:

Ovarian cancer accounts for 2.4% to 6.5% of common malignant tumors in women, ranking third among cancers of the female reproductive system, after cervical cancer and uterine body cancer. In recent years, the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer and uterine body cancer has achieved certain results, while the prevention and treatment of ovarian cancer has achieved relatively little results.

⒈ There may be no symptoms in the early stages and the disease is usually diagnosed through surgery and pathological examination.

⒉ In the late stage, there are often abdominal distension, enlarged abdomen or lower abdominal mass, or the mass grows rapidly, and the course of the disease is often short.

⒊ Bladder or rectal compression symptoms may occur.

⒋ May be accompanied by pain, fever, anemia, weakness, weight loss and other cachexia. Tumor rupture or torsion can cause acute abdominal pain.

⒌ Some ovarian tumors can secrete estrogen or testosterone, which may cause endocrine symptoms such as abnormal vaginal bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, precocious puberty, secondary amenorrhea, and virilization.

Tests to be done include:

General examination: Pay special attention to the superficial lymph nodes, breasts, abdominal swelling, ascites, masses, liver, spleen, and rectum for any abnormalities or masses.

Pelvic examination: Dual and triple diagnosis should be performed, and the uterus and adnexa should be examined, with attention paid to the location, side, size, shape, texture, activity, surface, tenderness, and retrouterine trap nodules of the mass. Special attention should be paid to possible signs of malignancy, such as: bilateral, solid or cystic solid, nodules or irregular shapes on the surface of the tumor, poor or no activity, retro-fossa nodules, rapid growth of the mass, ascites, advanced malignant lesions, hepatosplenomegaly, greater omental mass, intestinal obstruction and other clinical manifestations.
