The difference between chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchogenic carcinoma

Differences between COPD and bronchogenic carcinoma:

COPD, which refers to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and bronchial lung cancer are two completely different diseases that can be distinguished by symptoms, causes, and treatments.

1. Symptoms: COPD develops slowly and there are no conscious symptoms in the early stage, but as the disease progresses, it can induce chronic cough, sputum, and shortness of breath. Bronchial lung cancer can produce an irritating cough in the early stage, and the cough is high-pitched and metallic. Once secondary infection occurs, the amount of sputum increases significantly, accompanied by discomfort symptoms such as loss of appetite and fatigue.

2. Causes of the disease: The causes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are related to various environmental factors and the body itself, and may affect lung health after the disease occurs. The causes of bronchial lung cancer are more complicated, such as smoking, air pollution, occupational carcinogens and dietary factors.

3. Treatment methods: COPD requires long-term, regular and standardized treatment. Mild patients can use drugs such as salmeterol-fluticasone inhalation powder and budesonide-formoterol inhalation powder for treatment. If there is no obvious effect after medication, bullae resection and lung volume reduction surgery can be used. However, for bronchial lung cancer, surgical treatment should be performed in the early stage to improve the cure rate, and molecular targeted drug therapy should be used when necessary.

Once the lungs have symptoms such as coughing and abnormal breathing, you should be careful to prevent the occurrence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial lung cancer, and seek medical treatment in time after diagnosis. Pay attention to personal diet and correct bad eating habits.
