High-grade bladder cancer life expectancy

High-grade bladder cancer life expectancy

If bladder cancer has been found to have distant metastasis, then surgery is not particularly meaningful. Only radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be used to prolong survival, and the five-year survival rate is less than 20%. In principle, the higher the bladder cancer, the more malignant it is. For high-grade bladder cancer, if it infiltrates the muscle layer, it is also a bladder cancer with a relatively good prognosis, and the five-year effective survival rate after surgery is more than 80%. Bladder cancer itself is a malignant tumor.

Differences between bladder cancer and prostate cancer

There are obvious differences between bladder cancer and prostate cancer: First of all, bladder cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the bladder, and its first symptom is painless intermittent hematuria. Both bladder cancer and prostate cancer are relatively mild cancer lesions, but no matter what kind of cancer it is, there are also differences in severity, so there is no way to compare the two. The main difference between prostate cancer and bladder cancer is that the lesions are located in different locations.
