How to treat prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is a tumor caused by malignant proliferation of prostate epithelial cells. It is a slow-growing cancer that is not contagious and has a certain genetic tendency. The main symptoms include pelvic discomfort, abnormal urination and erectile dysfunction. Middle-aged and elderly men are the most susceptible to prostate cancer. For the treatment of prostate cancer, early radical radiotherapy or radical surgery can be used to prolong the survival of patients with metastatic prostate cancer, or radical surgical resection can be selected, or multi-modal comprehensive treatment can be performed on the basis of radiotherapy.

1. How to treat prostate cancer:

1. Endocrine therapy such as orchiectomy and the use of anti-androgen drugs. Since the growth of prostate cells depends on androgens, the supply of androgens can inhibit the growth and death of cancer cells.

2. Radiotherapy can kill cancer cells through high energy, or cryotherapy and chemotherapy, but you need to be aware that there may be certain side effects, such as loss of appetite and erectile dysfunction.

3. Surgical removal of the prostate and seminal vesicles can cure prostate cancer. It requires reconstruction of the urinary tract and removal of surrounding diseased tissue.

2. Prostate cancer precautions:

1. Patients should maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment, pay attention to personal hygiene, and adopt a balanced and nutritious diet.

2. Family members should provide patients with spiritual and psychological counseling and support. It is recommended that patients have a check-up every three months and avoid high-intensity physical activities.
