Are there any symptoms of uterine cancer?

Uterine cancer is also known as endometrial cancer and cervical cancer. Its basic symptoms are as follows:

1. There are no symptoms in the early stage, and there is no obvious difference from chronic cervicitis. Sometimes the cervix can even be seen to be smooth, especially in elderly women with cervical atrophy.

2. Vaginal bleeding. Young patients often experience contact bleeding, which occurs during sexual intercourse, gynecological examinations, and after bowel movements. The amount of bleeding can be more or less, and generally depends on the size of the lesion, which invades the interstitial blood vessels. Early bleeding is less, and late lesions are larger, showing heavy bleeding. Once large blood vessels are eroded, it may lead to fatal hemorrhage. Young patients may also experience prolonged menstruation, shortened cycles, increased menstrual volume, etc. Older patients often complain of irregular vaginal bleeding after menopause.

3. Vaginal discharge. Patients often complain of increased vaginal discharge, thin leucorrhea or blood like water, or rice soup-like, with a fishy smell. Late-stage cancer tissue rupture, tissue necrosis, irritation and infection, etc., with a large amount of pus or rice soup-like foul-smelling leucorrhea.

4. Symptoms of advanced cancer: secondary symptoms depend on the extent of invasion of the lesion. The lesions affect the pelvic connective tissue, pelvic wall, compression of the ureter or rectum, sciatic nerve, frequent urination, urgency, anal swelling, defecation, lower limb swelling, pain, etc. Severe cases may lead to ureteral obstruction, hydronephrosis, and ultimately uremia. At the end of the disease, the patient may become emaciated, anemic, feverish, and suffer from systemic failure.
