At what stage does intestinal cancer flatulence occur?

Which stage of bloating in bowel cancer?

1. The stage of colorectal cancer bloating should be determined based on the specific circumstances.

2. In the early stage of colorectal cancer, cancer cells infiltrate the intestinal mucosa, resulting in decreased intestinal digestion and absorption function. Excessive gas from food accumulates in the intestine, which may cause flatulence. In the middle and late stages of colorectal cancer, the cancer gradually increases and causes intestinal obstruction. The discharge of gastrointestinal gas is blocked and accumulates in the intestine, which also causes flatulence symptoms. Therefore, the stage of the disease cannot be judged by flatulence. Patients can judge the disease stage by clinical manifestations, CT examinations, etc. If there is no obvious discomfort, CT only shows localized thickening of the intestinal wall without metastasis, indicating early colorectal cancer. If the patient has symptoms such as compression of surrounding tissues, liver damage, bone pain, etc., CT examinations will reveal rough outer intestinal walls, intestinal stenosis, increased surrounding fat density, lymph node metastasis or distant metastasis, indicating that it has developed into late stage colorectal cancer.

3. Once diagnosed with colorectal cancer, patients need to build confidence in overcoming the disease and actively cooperate with the doctor's intervention to improve the prognosis, quality of life, and survival. Pay attention to daily rest, ensure adequate sleep, strengthen nutrition, eat more foods rich in vitamins and proteins, avoid carbonated drinks, soy products and other foods that easily produce gas, and reduce flatulence.
