Can invasive breast cancer be cured?

Invasive breast cancer can be cured, especially early-stage invasive breast cancer. Early-stage breast cancer means that the tumor is less than 2 cm, there is no lymph node metastasis, that is, ectopic lymph node metastasis or supraclavicular lymph node metastasis, and there is no brain metastasis, bone metastasis, or liver metastasis. In this case, the purpose of cure can be achieved through radical surgical resection and axillary lymph node cleaning.

From a pathological point of view, invasive breast cancer includes hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer and Her-2 high-expressing breast cancer. In this case, different postoperative adjuvant treatments can be used after surgery according to different pathological types, such as hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, which can be supplemented with endocrine therapy after surgery.

Triple-negative breast cancer can be treated with 6-8 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery, and Her-2-positive breast cancer can be treated with adjuvant chemotherapy and targeted therapy for one year, which can also achieve the goal of reducing postoperative recurrence and long-term survival.

Early breast cancer can be diagnosed through active examinations, and locally advanced cases can also receive adjuvant treatment. After the tumor shrinks, the patient can survive for a long time. For advanced invasive breast cancer, it cannot be cured, but medical treatment can prolong life and allow long-term survival.
