Is nasopharyngeal carcinoma easy to treat? How to treat it

Is nasopharyngeal carcinoma easy to treat? How is it treated?

1. Tinnitus, stuffy ears and hearing loss are early signs of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. This symptom is caused by the nasopharyngeal carcinoma neoplasm blocking the Eustachian tube opening on the affected side. Hearing loss may also be caused by further deterioration of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and damage to the auditory nerve. Tinnitus and hearing loss are often misdiagnosed as otitis media or other diseases, resulting in delayed treatment.

2. Surgical resection is generally suitable for patients with early nasopharyngeal cancer. Cancer cells can be removed through surgical treatment, and tumor tissue can be removed quickly and the effect is fast. However, due to the limitations of surgical treatment itself, tumor cells cannot be completely eradicated, and they are prone to recurrence and metastasis, causing tumor cells to spread to other parts of the body, seriously endangering the health of patients.

3. The treatment method of radiotherapy and chemotherapy is to kill tumor cells through chemical drugs and radiation. It can reduce the load of tumor cells locally or systemically and has a quick effect, but it cannot eradicate tumor cells. It is easy to relapse and metastasize. It has great systemic toxic side effects and is easy to cause symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, causing damage to the human immune function, severely undermining the patient's physical and mental health, and seriously undermining the patient's confidence in fighting cancer.
