Melanoma is a malignant skin tumor. A lot of medical research has been done on the causes of melanoma. Although the causes of melanoma have not been fully understood, several common causes of melanoma have been summarized. Race is a factor in melanoma 1. Race The incidence rate among white people is higher than that among people of color. For example, the annual incidence rate among white people in the United States is as high as 42/100,000, while that among black people is only 0.8/100,000. Therefore, race is also one of the causes of melanoma. 2. Sunlight and UV exposure Scalp melanoma is more common in exposed areas. According to Israeli statistics, the annual incidence rate of agricultural workers is 15.4/100,000, which is higher than that of urban workers. The incidence rate of residents living in coastal areas is higher than that of those living in mountainous areas. The incidence rate of melanoma has more than doubled since the 1980s, which is estimated to be related to the destruction of the atmospheric ozone layer and excessive exposure of the skin to ultraviolet rays. 3. Others Factors such as genetics, trauma, and chronic mechanical stimulation may also be one of the causes of melanoma. Two methods are recommended for the treatment of melanoma 1. Traditional treatment This is the most common treatment for melanoma. It includes early surgical resection and mid- to late-stage surgical resection followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Some experts have reported that radiotherapy was performed on melanoma with residual lesions after partial resection, and the results showed that melanoma is resistant to radiation. Some experts have also confirmed that compared with chemotherapy alone, chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy can improve the efficacy, but it is still suggested that radiotherapy can be used as the main treatment for melanoma after surgery. 2. Biological therapy Such as the application of biological treatment methods such as cytokine infusion, adoptive immunotherapy, tumor vaccines and monoclonal antibody cross-linking. It has been reported that HL-2/LAK combination therapy has a significant therapeutic effect on melanoma, and has achieved good clinical efficacy in alleviating the condition of melanoma, improving survival rate, and regulating autoimmunity, but there is no unified usage to follow. This is also one of the treatment methods for melanoma. |
