What are the symptoms two or three days before death from brain cancer?

Symptoms of advanced brain tumors

1. Headache: It is caused by increased intracranial pressure or direct compression and stimulation of the meninges, blood vessels and nerves by the tumor. It occurs in most patients and is an early symptom. It gets worse as the tumor develops to the late stage. This is one of the late symptoms of brain cancer.

2. Vomiting: It is mostly caused by increased intracranial pressure stimulating the medullary vomiting center and vagus nerve stimulation. Severe headaches are accompanied by vomiting, which is often jet-like. Children with posterior cranial fossa tumors will have early and frequent vomiting, which can be easily mistaken for gastrointestinal diseases.

3. Visual impairment: including changes in vision, visual field and fundus. Due to increased intracranial pressure, optic disc edema occurs or the tumor directly compresses the optic nerve, which can cause optic nerve atrophy and affect vision over time, resulting in vision loss or even blindness. The cause of optic disc edema is increased intracranial pressure, which restricts the return of lymph in the lymphatic sheath around the optic nerve, increases ocular venous pressure, and causes venous congestion. There may also be dizziness, diplopia, mental symptoms, epileptic seizures, neck stiffness, decreased corneal reflex, and changes in vital signs such as breathing and blood pressure. This is also a late symptom of brain cancer.

Symptoms of late-stage brain tumors show that brain tumors are extremely harmful to the human body. Once obvious symptoms of the disease appear, it will have a lifelong impact on the patient. Because the disease is difficult to cure, patients can only control the disease as the main purpose during treatment, but they cannot easily give up the treatment of brain tumors.
