How to prevent melanoma

How to prevent melanoma

1. Do not use corrosive drugs or complete freezing to stimulate moles. Experts point out that it is dangerous to freeze moles repeatedly if they cannot be removed in one go, because moles often become malignant due to traumatic stimulation. About 30% to 50% of malignant melanomas are related to external stimulation. If it is for cosmetic purposes, it is safer and more reliable to remove the mole at one time. It is not advisable to over-stimulate the mole to avoid causing malignant changes and tumors.

2. Experts say that for pigmented moles that occur in areas prone to friction, biopsies should be taken for pathological examination. For example, if a child has a large hairy mole on the waist, it is often rubbed and squeezed by the belt, so it should be removed as soon as possible. If it is difficult to remove all of it at once, you can remove the main part first, and then remove the rest. Make sure to remove all the moles.

3. Experts point out that to prevent melanoma, we also need to pay attention to the malignant transformation of moles, such as enlarged lymph nodes in the mole area, with faint blue-black color; increased size of the mole, with the pigment becoming darker or lighter; the mole expanding radially to the surrounding area, etc., so as to take preventive measures in advance to avoid the occurrence of melanoma.
